Holy shit did they change the hunter tree. So here I'm reading about it, and now mages cap out on damage at 60 and hunters take over for single target DPS?
When I left, hunters were pretty much worthless (not worthless, but a mage would always be a better choice). I think I'm going to stick with the mage, since it's a female, and it will be easy to get groups/free gold that way.
only if you're on an rp server dawg
also hunters rape shit now, and mages are exactly like they were when you quit, except now with + damage gear they get pretty deadly

Helado 12-04-2005, 02:52 AM Mages will still be wanted for their CC, aoe, and they can still compete with hunters for DPS. Mages need some work, but they're not as bad off as you make it sound.

its easier to get in instance groups with a mage than a hunter, but if your hunter is 60, just join a raiding guild and get some pimp gear and own up the BGs

Trying to get PUG's on my hunter alt for the 5-10 man instances is such a pain. However, almost every large raiding guild on our server has a high turnover of hunters.

Hunters are a DPS class and should perform accordingly.
Mages true DPS is within their AoE damage and that was always the case. They'll always be DPS kings so long as they can AE things like a mofo...

For a mage? Yeah, spirit is worthless.
For a paladin? Spirit is good.
