I have a set of shitty 2.1 speakers and was looking to upgrade a bit. I don't really want to spend much (~ $20). Anyone have something? I have a few things to trade as well such as power supplies, KVM switches, lots of misc.

you're really not going to get anything decent that could possibly even be considered an 'upgrade' for $20, even if they are used. do you have 5.1 outputs on your soundcard/mobo? if so, i would suggest spending about $50 for the logitech x-530
Maybe try Wal-Mart? :ugh:
$20 is a stretch, to put it mildly.

Yeah ... they don't have to be "awesome" It's for an older computer my girlfriend uses to do websites and jack around online. The ones I have now I got for $8 and they have an annoying buzzing, non-grounded, interference noise whenever the hard drive spins up. I've tried anything that makes sense to fix that like repositioning them, moving / changing the cables, etc.
Oh well. She'll live.

you can also try ebay. I bought 5.1 speaker set for 25 buy it now shipping was 15 but I think they might have somethign to fit your budget and shipping will also be less cause it wont be as heavy.
