I kind of object to paying 60% of the retail price of Battlefield 2 for an expansion with so little "expansion", no new gametypes, a lot of the art assets being reused from the retail game, weapons that are suspect of considerable abuse (tear gassing your own team), and the usual phrase "fix it in a patch" that seems to be EA’s company slogan.

I’ll be waiting for the early adopters to review the content on this one before taking the plunge.

I can't stand the people who bought BF2, they play it every fucking day, and still claim "I won't buy SF, its just more of EA's bullshit." When you/I/and every other fucking person on the internet KNOWS they are going to buy it and have it first day.

I think it will be ok, and frankly I'm not buying any other games lately and 30$ isn't killing my budget so I figure why the hell not.

I have a real life (OMFG) so playing it once it comes out isn't a priority. Not a bad idea and yes I will be getting it. Call me what you will but if I play a game and enjoy the time I spend playing it, it's a good deal. I only hope it's not as fucked up as the first patch was.

No the people I can't fucking stand are the people who spend all fucking day on a bf2 forum (like totalbf2) or various others bitching about how bad BF2 is and how bad the expansion is going to be. But they play the game every fucking day, and they will have the expansion on the first day and will bitch about how bad it is too. Reguardless of the fact that each and every one of them claims they won't buy it.

I almost pre-ordered a copy, outpost.com (frys) had it for $20 + free shipping on their site, by the time I found out about it they changed it to $27.99 and no free shipping!

Like I said in another thread, if enough of my teammates on IV buy it I will pickup a copy. I think it will be a fun pub game if you can even get 3 people together on TS2 and working as a team.

i'm not going to buy it simply because i want to give it a month or so and see how it does. the last 2 games i bought before BF2 were T2 and T:V, both of which were a waste of my fucking money.

Not really related to the expansion but www.bf2s.com has a funny stat they added to the tracker page, it's sort of a how much play value you've gotten for your buck. It's towards the bottom and based off of $50 retail price of the game.

i warezed HL2 singleplayer, only got halfway through it before i got bored.

I've tried CS:S on a friend's steam account, and am considering buying HL2/CS:S myself, however I'm probably going to wait until Team Fortress Forever comes out before i go buy it via steam.

Ranked SF servers won't be active until 1:30 EST... And the downloader works now.

You just can't install till 1:00 EST.

I'll go to the store and buy it. There's no way that EA's site is going to be able to support the massive babdwidth it's going to be hit with on the day SF is released. I'll probably be back from the store and have installed it ny the time the first person is finished downloading it.
