New (used) video card, BF2 won't run

I bought an Nvidia 6800GT to replace my 9800XT. Uninstalled the 9800XT with drivercleaner in safe mode, then installed Nvidia's 81.85 WHQL Forceware drivers. All of that went fine. But now BF2 won't run at all. When I click the icon, it throws tyhe BF2 screen up, the screen goes black like it's going to load the login screen, then the game just disappears. Suggestions appreciated.

Delete/rename/move the bf2 folder in your my documents folder then restart bf2.

Sounds like a refresh rate problem to me, go to your:

My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001

either delete the video.con file or go in and change the refresh rate on the VideoSettings.setResoluti on line.
