I was using Xfire up until last week, then I gave up. I couldn't convince the other people on IV to continue using it. :shrug:

Well it's another footprint that gamers don't want...if it did irc we could get rid of mirc...sure that would be nice..else its just a bloated friend finder...on top of mirc/ts2/ven or whatever

also someone dig up the old bf2ip thread by IV-Face and mock him for NEVER FUCKING FINISHING it 5 months ago. Would save alot of hassle

it has group chat, voice over, one click join, server favorites, server history, a little p2p for gaming files as well as some other conveniences

voice chat via hosted on 1 persons machine....try playing while doing that. I'll switch over from mirc forever if they support irc server chat.

I just registered. I doubt I'm on at the same times and I'm not very good on the ground, but would be interesting.

fuck it, I just use Qtracker and add players on pubs who aren't total fucktards to my list on that as well as people from this community I enjoy playing with.

When I pub, it does a check for anyone with that name on servers and I pick from there... After that I'm either on Vent with them or the server has VoIP on so it's not a big deal.

Since so many people have posted in here I will use Xfire again for a bit and see how it works with a few more people playing.

I played with ayzianboy a week ago, but he's much better than me so I don't think it was much fun for him :) ....but we played on a 16 plyr server which isn't my thing.

we should get a public vent server. playing in the same server as friends and being able to talk to them are very different experiences. the latter is a lot more fun :)

ya it does HP, when I started it up again after posting in this thread I noticed it in the patch notes. It is a lot better having people talking over some sort of voice chat, even ayzianboy has joined the rest of the IV people on our TS2 server. Our TS2 server is public with the information on the website to join (www.team4wa.net for those that have sigs turned off.)
