BF2 is fun and all but its just not keeping my interest like a tribes game. I guess once you go jetpack no other ground pounder compares.

I could use more maps and other content for sure... but there is an expansion coming just in time to keep me playing BF2 the rest of the year. I only have time for one game really though.

game needs some fixes/features imo.
1. auto map dls (would encourage user creation)
2. more city based maps (i think sharqi is bf2s raindance, perfect in many ways)
3. hitbox issues still open
4. remove stupid fucking dolphin diving you fucking cunts
5. deal with the jeeps blind spot issue in some way. with the tank it makes sense, but in a jeep your head would be moving around to get a good view, and its a huge pet peeve for me.

as for gaming though, you really have to find a good server and a some people interested in teamwork in order to have fun/be interested. you DONT want to be on wake island on the us side, with an awesome pilot on the other team and no one on your team squaded.

It got old before patch 2. Same old Battlefield but much better graphics. I say bring on some good mods.

I still play and enjoy it, not everyone is going to stick with it.

After about the first 2 weeks of playing it, I knew it was getting old, so to counter this (dont wanna waste $50) I only play in scrims/matches. Now, even just playing scrims/matches the game is still getting boring (and, since I don't pub, I suck).

Are there any games out there that can hold me interest for as long as T2 did? (3 years+) instead of the same old FPS that gets old in 2 weeks?

Great question I'd like the same answer! Although it was T1 in my case

What is a non-pathetic reason to play a video game for hours and hours?

I play every day for at least an hour or two and am still learning all the sweet spots in the maps. Sure, playing some custom maps adds a little extra excitment, but it's still a damn good game. Scrims/matches just make it more enjoyable.

I find enjoyment in getting the awards and ranks as well as playing the game.

I still play fairly often (3-4 sessions a week maybe?), although pubbing is really only enjoyable to me when I've got at least one triber watching my back and communicating via vent.

bf2 seems to have the most depth in a fps out now days. still wish for jetpacking.

Running around with a squad is about as fun as you are going to get for a while. It's better than DOD:S. As good as bf2 can be, theres always some super homosexual thing to ruin the fun.

BF2 doesn't have any depth, if it has depth it's horizontal depth which is a cheap knockoff of vertical depth.
