You're suppose to go really fast.

Most folks use an interceptor as a tackler. All depends on what you bought. If you bought a Crow (Caldari), you could fit an armor repairer, maybe some plate to the low slots, webber MWD and scrambler to mids and rockets/missles to highs.

The eve forums have some good threads on fittings.

Go to obe and camp a gate and wait until 20 odd people come through and get your buddy to come a long and let him die several times until you get bored and your get your friends to come along with a HAC and smash to bits the fleet of the 20 odd people.

You got a shitload of training to do before you can even fly it respectably. Navigation, Electronics, and Engineering skills are going to take some time.
