The all new 1.8 Druid talent buildCandyMan 09-23-2005, 02:32 PM http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/druids2/talents.html Fucking yes please Ratorasniki 09-23-2005, 04:02 PM Moonfire/starfire spamming druids with 8-10k armor, a 15-25% chance to crit, 100% bonus crit damage, and +10-20% damage on top of that. Don't know if anybody caught Insect Swarm either, you know that little gem is getting upgraded to 10% at the trainer. New feral talents look nice too. Seems a little excessive. These guys are really all or nothing with the changes. PsioniX 09-23-2005, 04:54 PM finally dear god i hope they do as good on the paladin changes as well they took a tree with no 31 point talent, and some useless (two faerie fire talents? come on) talents and made it a viable tree. I also like that they fixed omen of clarity, as well as made it so speccing in each tree is beneficial in some way to all trees They actually made it viable to spec 31 in any tree for druids, and the balance moonkin(shadow) form is nice, but Ill be going feral at first because ive always been feral. CandyMan 09-23-2005, 05:00 PM Moonfire/starfire spamming druids with 8-10k armor, a 15-25% chance to crit, 100% bonus crit damage, and +10-20% damage on top of that. Don't know if anybody caught Insect Swarm either, you know that little gem is getting upgraded to 10% at the trainer. New feral talents look nice too. Seems a little excessive. These guys are really all or nothing with the changes. To start off, the bonus and crit dmg has always been there, they actually changed the omen proc ability to be under weapon buff instead of over it, which sucks but oh well. Moonkin is just like shadowform, you cant do anything except balance in that form, no heal, no cleanse/decurse at all. TeckMan 09-23-2005, 05:44 PM honestly i've always thought druids were overpowered and hate every buff they get. My biggest problem is that going from animal form > caster form is considered disabling a positive buff, and not a real shapeshift. Thus it does not burn your instant timer. This allows druids to stay in bear form and use their mana-free healing untill the last possible second, and still be able to pop into caster form for a quick heal with almost no risk to themselves. Druid is far and away the most survivable class in the game, nothing comes close. A paladin can stand there with high mitigation chaincasting slow heals on himself, but has no real way to actually *escape*. Druids are probably the best PvP healers because they don't need babysitting like a priest, a druid gets away from anybody almost 100%. A druid doesn't need nuking damage because they can outlast any mana-based damage class EASILY. And trying to melee a druid is just a sick joke as you will be kited with ease. GL vanish/sprinting out of a root when you're faerie fired. Druid is a great member of a PvP group as they restore more hitpoints per second than any other class. The only thing a druid really lacks as a support class is defensive magic dispel but the root and poison pel make up for that nicely. CandyMan 09-23-2005, 06:03 PM and now we can dance Official moonkin dance ala Cay http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/news/images/05-09/druid/moonkin.gif Helado 09-23-2005, 09:18 PM Wow, fuck druids. Raven 09-23-2005, 11:20 PM These are fucking huge. They get a fucking crit aura! THEY GET A FUCKING CRIT AURA! BoK is at the most %1 crit. Father Ruckus 09-24-2005, 12:44 AM These are fucking huge. They get a fucking crit aura! THEY GET A FUCKING CRIT AURA! BoK is at the most %1 crit. even though i know blizz will botch it... Paladins are up for 1.9, only took them a year but w/ the hunter and druid overhauls, i hope they keep up the trend w/ palys. Course its blizzard and i expect them to do nothing worth a damn. Lord Elessar 09-24-2005, 12:52 AM LOCK SMASH DRUID! (and everyone else but ambush rogues) Pagy 09-24-2005, 01:04 AM To start off, the bonus and crit dmg has always been there, they actually changed the omen proc ability to be under weapon buff instead of over it, which sucks but oh well. Moonkin is just like shadowform, you cant do anything except balance in that form, no heal, no cleanse/decurse at all.except shadowform increases your shadow dmg and moonkin form... increases crits by 3% after already increaseing crit chanes significantly Honestly, moonkin for seems a bit pointless unless you pvp a lot with caster buddies... Lord Elessar 09-24-2005, 01:06 AM the new feral tree looks really cool though. Pagy 09-24-2005, 01:10 AM also i'm finding it really tough trying to come up with a restoration build now. gift of nature has now basically made choosing btw nature's focus, reflection, imp rejuv, imp rg a little tricky. I mean, if you don't take imp regrowth it makes the spell pretty much useless considering the efficiency and now the quicker cast time on ht, nature's focus is really iffy and imp rejuc still seems redundant considering overriding rejuvinations and the extra what... 100hp healed? Also i'm pissed i cant get feral charge and nature's reach anymore, thats a huge pain in the ass. Any other tw'ers still staying restoration? If so, wtf are you thinking of doing with your pts? If you get feral charge, i think you have to forget nature's grasp and throw pts in feral since you've already invested Sijandi 09-24-2005, 02:54 AM Im probably going to stick with restoration I can't imagine my druid without innervate and NS. What I hate is now the already retarted feral druids will now have an excuse to be in cat form and not healing. It means less healing for my raids with a bunch of idiot feral and moonkin druids running arround. Also Teckman your absolutly right about druids being the best pvp healer. For all of our pvp groups the priests would be in shadow. I love it in AV I can heal the warriors that are charging into the back lines, if a rogue hits me he is rooted. If it gets worse travel form and they are either picked of or go to another target. With innervate I can heal forever with natures swiftness I can respond to any crits on my tank. Helado 09-24-2005, 03:09 AM IMO, 30feral/21resto looks to be the best balance of raiding and pvp (in my noobness opinion). The new feral/balance 31 point talents don't look to be all thatworth it in all honesty. Bodom 09-24-2005, 03:56 AM shamans have pretty shitty trees as well honestly, if you dont go 31 in restoration (barring full EF set and going elemental mostly) your shit sucks. shaman trees blow dick Anguish 09-24-2005, 09:06 AM My guild wouldn't let me go feral unless I got LoTP ... The hunters seem to be the most excited about this newfound aura that we're getting. It's speculated that the aura will increase crit rate to 5% at lvl 60 (4% at 50 5% at 60) ... Moonkin form is great :x If you overheal while you're wtfowning with Balance you don't necessarily have to die! :x I suspect druids will lose their reputation as survivors. It's Natures Swiftness that really made them so very hard to kill. :P Feral druids will have to rely on speed and field awareness to stay alive. Balance druids will need to rely on crits. The most underrated buff, yet again, is the new improved thorns ... 50 dmg a hit is what most rogues hit me for in bear form (just a regular attack) .. The fact that you can have insect swarm, moonfire, go moonkin and pop barkskin then wrath spam is just halarious :o I don't see rogues having a chance in hell lol... Ztir 09-24-2005, 10:22 AM shamans have pretty shitty trees as well honestly, if you dont go 31 in restoration (barring full EF set and going elemental mostly) your shit sucks. shaman trees blow dick tru dat most of our shamans have respecced to manatide TseTse 09-24-2005, 11:25 AM im thrilled to see druids get love. however, i still think their ability to break poly/movement cc endlessly is fuckin gay. tokin 09-24-2005, 01:15 PM My guild wouldn't let me go feral unless I got LoTP ...
