Can't seem to get a definite strategy for this guy besides a giant clusterzerg.

- Do people kill the raptor first and then turn off DPS while he enrages so only the MT takes damage? Or do you offtank the raptor the whole fight? The raptor does a ton of damage and offtanking him the whole fight has given our healers a serious problem. They go oom quite quickly just healing the offtank.

- How exactly does the watching thing work? We're under the impression that when he's "watching" you one needs to stop casting spells, turn off attack and just stand still until he switches target. If he "watches" the MT should he do anything different or just ignore it and continue to build more aggro?

Maybe it's just a gear problem since maybe 20% of our people have a single MC drop and not 1 person has 2 MC drops heh. Thanks for the help.

Kill Raptor, Tank boss.

There's no magic strat for him. Stop doing anything when he's watching you, and other than that, just tank/dps/heal.

I've killed him once. We did a few things:

1. Spread the fuck out. His random charge can sometimes result in an AE attack which you dont want hitting everyone.

2. Kill the fucking raptor first.

3. When he is watching you, STOP ALL ACTION. You get a huge amount MORE aggro for any action + he hits for a SHIT LOAD if he hits you while watching you. Even the MT needs to stop.

4. When he does his random charge, stop firing/casting until tank regains aggro. I think we determined that he reduces aggro on MT during this time and he'll aggro anyone else shooting him instead of going back to the MT.

5. If anyone dies, he gets stronger and hits for more. Try not to die. You can res cuz it's a long fight, but after a few deaths you might have to consider it a wipe.

offtank raptor. kill bloodlord. requires 3 warriors for safety (once the raptor gets to 5-6 sunders you switch) and then just keep burning him down

Thanks for the responses.

To Bodom: 3 warriors is best b/c when he charges he will clear aggro on the current warrior but then will go to one of the other warriors?

So keep a couple warriors high on the hate list, kill raptor first, do nothing when watched and spread out. Sounds like a plan. Thanks again.

We killed the raptor. You're better off just healing through the the enrage as opposed to healing an offtank the entire fight.

We didn't take resses when we died, unless it was a healer. I think its when you TAKE the res that makes him level, not dying.

We accidentally agrod him the first time and wiped. Killed him the second time.

No, I'm pretty sure that when someone dies he just 'enrages'. You rez because it's sort of a long fight. We took multiple rezzes this evening when we fought him again. Made it easier to kill him.

wait what...no.

one warrior on bloodlord the entire time.

the other two beat on the raptor. when one tank gets 5-6 sunders you switch the other tank in. the raptor doesnt get killed til after mandokir dies

exactly what you should do.

also, he lvls when someone dies, now when they res. so don't hesitate on taking the spirit's reses.

oh so the raptor sunders didn't know that. Now your statement makes sense bodom.

Well we fought him again tonight several times and we simply cannot keep him on the MT. He is randomly charging and attacking people he isn't even watching! And when he charges someone he clears aggro on the MT and ping pongs all over the place killing people until the MT can catch him and taunt back aggro. Then MT tanks for 10 seconds until he randomly charges another person for seemingly NO reason.

We tried spreading everyone out in a semi-circle thinking that when you are watched if someone near you moves/attacks/casts they might set him off as well but this made no difference. How the hell do you tank this guy? Our problem is NOT people being "watched" and they mess up and move. It is NOT a problem of some overzealous mage overnuking and getting aggro. We have no clue wtf this is.

The only thing I can think of is what bloodyshark says which is his random charge that is unassociated with "watching" is reducing aggro far too much on our MT and he isn't coming back to him. Perhaps the solution is to let our MT build a LOT more threat before we begin laying in the DPS.

Does his 'watching you' phase take damage from DoTs into account?

sortof i think. i noticed that after knockbacks or "im watching you" if i had a dot on him he would come after me in short order

i was never decapitated (what happens to you when you pull aggro while watched) but ive been attacked a few times

There's 0 reason to try and offtank the Raptor, it just puts extra drain on healer mana. It's much more effective/efficient to kill the Raptor first, then Bloodlord.

Bunny, follow my instructions from a few posts up and you are the win.

I never said the boss would automatically go back to the tank. People need to stop firing until tank regains aggro. Put a hunter or 2 next to the tank so they can pull the boss back after a random charge. That will also help.

Also, your tank should have a lot of hate generated from being the only one on him while you're killing the raptor.

oi we took him down tonight. First two tries he evaded healing to full...wth! Pretty much did as you suggested bloody tho I didnt think of the hunters with distracting shot...that woulda helped. Thanks for the assistance guys it was a much more satisfying victory for us than getting through shazzrah in MC this weekend(garr 1st try ever, geddon first try ever, shazzrah 2nd try ever woot!)

Bloodlord dropped 1 epic, 1 blue and a hakkari quest item. Is this the standard 1 epic and 1 blue everytime?

yeah this guy is np... only 1 warrior on each is fine for us...
he's much easier to follow around.. unlike that spiderbitch

1st time we wiped.. since we pulled a 4 pack and him... that was pretty funny to see him level 10x.. then finally hit me for 7k non crit damage... (9000ac 378 defense)

For any of the bosses if you pull them out of their areas towards hakkar they will full heal and deaggro. I guess it can be abused a bit if you know you are going to wipe, but it does force you to clear a lot of mobs that you might otherwise be able to ninja pull by.

From our experience with 3 or 4 kills now we came to the conclusion that he only levels up when you die while being watched. Dieing while not being watched just gives you a higher repair bill. We could be wrong but it was the conclusion we reached.

another thing

if someone had just zoned into the instance broodlord will try to rush them (farthest away?) and will evade
