I'm not sure what is funnier in this thread, the situation surrounding Yoda or DocHolliday launching into a whole speech about what a wonderful human being he is.

Honestly, have YOU been through college Doc? I have and the notion that something he brought upon hisself in a course that isn't even a part of major will ruin his life is laughable. The university won't penalize him for writing something on a message board. The professor, although pissed perhaps (And even THAT is an assumption. He might find the internet angle humorus), is quite limited in how he can retaliate. Even if he were to retaliate, Yoda would be able to go to the department chair to point it out.

You might believe you have the moral high ground here but, honestly, all you're doing is condoning someone not applying common sense to all facets of life and boviating on your own perceived virtues. I've been on TW for a much less time than you and I know better than to post shit like this that can bite you on your ass.

Personally, iif you want to speak about the morality of the situation, I believe Yoda has learned a life lesson early on in his academic career through this situation that will help him later. At all times you must be aware in the world you are in and the rules of a given situation that dictate. Most people know enough to either not read the paper in class or, at the very least, gauge whether the particular professor doesn't give about shit about things like this. Similarly, most people on TW know to not post things which have the potential to affect them in real life. Later in life, this is particularly important (i.e. how to act on an interview v. a work party v. hanging out with your friends)

Hopefully, from now on he will think about the potential consequences of his actions prior to doing them.

Note: This does not mean we are all without fault(and I don't see anyone here arguing that). Many of us learned these lessons early on in life but we did learn them. Often times, we learn these lessons through making mistakes. Yoda is no different.

I think this thread is hilarious. Back when I was a first-year engineering student, there were people who sat in the back and pulled lots of shit. About 10 of them in a class of 160. Reading the paper, talking a lot, even the occasional spitball. Needless to say they weren't around the next year.
