Stinkfist 09-19-2005, 11:05 AM I've got one up to 20. he's got 2 stances and a bunch of "skills" for each stance (unlike my rogue where i can put all his on the number bar 1-9 and be gtg).
What mods do you use to help play your warrior?
jotun 09-19-2005, 11:20 AM i just have the old ass cosmos popbar, and i keep it hidden with a bunch of keybinds on it. sort of UO-style hotkeys..
Phrozen 09-19-2005, 11:23 AM http://www.nurfed.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4032 might give you a few good ideas
Well the bar should change when you switch stances, so just bind the keys as you would your rogue, bind one to each stance, remember thema nd you are golden :)
FalseMyrmidon 09-19-2005, 01:42 PM Push a button to change a stance and it should change your bars like it does for your Rogue when you enter Stealth.
Zombie 09-19-2005, 02:04 PM I just use the extra bars that WoW has now.
I put all the stance specific specials on the "main/Default" bar, and then the universal ones on the bottom bar.
Then I put tradeskills/food/pots/bandages on the side bars.
Stinkfist 09-19-2005, 02:05 PM it does change....problem is though, the buttons i use...in battle stance right now for instance...i'm missing like 3 skills becvause i can't fit anymore on the bar :P. I just wanted to konw what you guys did.
also, any warrrior skills that are pretty much useless?

Use a second bar?
Two bars should be enough...
Additionally I can't think of any outright useless Warrior skills. I would say that a lot of them suck past the first rank.
Edit: Thunderclap is pretty bad. Slam sucks except for something like MC when you aren't tanking. I rarely use Rend, it's only usefulness is against Rogues so they can't Vanish.

Notice that a large majority of the Warrior skills only increase the small amount of damage that the ability does (Rank 1 Mocking Blow does 22 damage and the final Rank does 93 but it's not like you're using it for the damage).

I use anything and everything that will do addtional damage.
Thunderclap you have to becareful with when there's mobs that are close and or poly/sap/trap etc...

That's my setup from quite a while ago. I'm using Gypsy as the base in addition to several other things. The bottom bar changes when I switch stances and the top one doesn't.
I put the Stances on the top bar so I can hit Control 1, Control 2 and Control 3 to change stances.
Edit: I'm sure it's outdated as fuck because I haven't updated anything on it in a long time. I know there must be better things out by now but I'm too lazy to set them up.

this was a while ago when i was prot (note the shield slam crit :P)
most of my crap is bound to keys, using the default interface.
Stinkfist 09-19-2005, 03:04 PM ah...very nice. Thanks :). thats along the lines of what i was looking for.
sekdar 09-19-2005, 03:48 PM my ui:
http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/1605/sekui34rh.jpg
this is prety much all nurfed UI, with Hitsmode making my combat log easier to read, and everyone's favorite ct raid assist. not pictured: stancesets, wardrobe.
i'd probably recommend "stancesets" as the best warrior add-on. it lets you automatically equip a different set of weapons (or shield) upon changing stances, as well as letting you quickswap between weapons at the push of a button (get it at http://www.curse-gaming.com which also has pretty much ever wow addon ever).
the next best thing for warriors is the wardrobe addon. once you hit 60 and start amassing gear, you're going to want a set for PVP/DPS, a set for tanking, a set for fire resist, etc. wardrobe lets you bind entire equipment sets to a single button or hotkey.
my bottom two skill bars are all the attacks and junk i have hotkeyed. note that i got rid of the stance bar and instead placed them in the last 3 slots in such a way that hitting battle stance button in battle stance instead overpowers, defensive stance button in defensive disarms, and berserker stance button uses berserker rage. once you ramp up in levels you'll see how important stance-dancing is :)
third bar is rare-use abilities which i dont have hotkeyed. nice and big so i cant misclick in an emergency. i also have overpower and execute there so my blind ass can see them light up if i miss them at the bottom.
fourth bar shows all my cooldown abilities so i can monitor their cooldowns without having to be in their particular stance.
above that is autobar, which comes with nurfed. automatically puts food, potions, bandages, and other consumables there for quick use.
upper right is professions and wardrobe loadouts.
cluttered, but i like it :-|
Vulcan 09-19-2005, 04:38 PM nurfed ui is the one ui that i consistantly am pleased to get updates on and continue to use.
Stinkfist 09-19-2005, 04:50 PM again, nice. I'll have to check it out :D.
Ciceron 09-19-2005, 06:04 PM Each stance bound to shift + E, R, T, respectively.
I use the default UI (with Titan bar, but that doesn't add anything for hotkeys) with the extra lower left and right slots. The regular lower left has stuff particular to that stance and the extra lower left has stuff that can be used in all stances (shouts, sunder, cleave, etc.).
Extra lower right bar is just a spot for extra stuff (bandages, sharpening stones, profession icons, etc.).
Works pretty well for me.
iblis 09-19-2005, 08:18 PM Have you tried Flexbar (http://www.curse-gaming.com/mod.php?addid=42)?
PessimiStick 09-20-2005, 09:34 AM Flexbar is by FAR my favorite addon.
You need to at least have a mild understanding of programming concepts to make it do "cool" stuff, but you can just use it as moveable, scaleable bars without a lot of trouble.
As for the cool stuff, some things I use it for are:
- Popping up Overpower on my Warrior, and Riposte on my Rogue when they are available, as a giant button that you can't miss. (Invisible all other times)
- Only showing combat buttons in combat.
- Fading buttons to 20% alpha when the debuff is already on your current target (Warlock mainly)
- Popping up context specific buttons only when appropriate, i.e.: Only showing Banish when targetting elementals/demons, only showing potions when low on health, etc.
You can do some really slick shit with Flexbar, and if you have time to mess with it, it's well worth the effort.
