arg.. help me..

Ok everytime i restart my comp windows seems to lock up. Just as windows is loading up everything locks up and my mouse turns to an hourglass when i pass over the taskbar/start menu. If i end task explorer everything seems to work.. like right now i had to use task manager to run iexplorer and end explorer just for it to show up. It also does it in safe mode.

seems like a virus to me but i ran norton and it didnt find anything. I didnt install anything new recently that i can think of.

anyway.. running winxp pro service pack 2.

yeah i've done that a few times now.. and it fixes it for a little bit but it keeps coming back :ugh:

Hmm, definately sounds like a virus or some such. Is your Norton up to date? I'd also go to housecall.trendmicro.com and do the online scan. Try some spyware/adware removers and Hijack This! too.
