Rad9800Pro 256Mb + Display problems

Specs:

Intel P4
ASUS P4PE-2X (FSB 800MHz)
2x 512mb 400MHz Kingston RAM
Club3D Radeon 9800Pro 256Mb
MicroOne 17'' CRT (Not known brand, but it worked very well with my GF4)

Okay so i know that this is directly between card and monitor, possibly only because of card:

I can't fetch monitor info via DCC in ATI Control Panel or Refresh Rate is stuck at 60Hz no matter what i set it at Display Properties or what settings i use. This is rather common bug from what i've been reading. So i have to set MAX resolution and refresh rate manually from same page in ATI CC. No biggie.

Now the problem is that sometimes when i start up my computer (Let's say that this happens once / week) my display properties (Height, Width, Cushion etc, stuff that you set from Monitors own controls) have reseted to what they were when i disabled DCC information fetching (Too much Cushion, way too small Height and Width). Trying to Reset Monitor controls doesn't help.

I've read that other people have had same problem at least with the Refresh Rate, and that changing monitor hasn't helped jack (So it's an ATI driver bug).

I've tried 5.7 Cats, 5.8 Cats and newest Omegas (based to 5.8 Cats). No help, all have the same problem.

I've run across this issue a few times... In the past I have just completely uninstalled the drivers and installed another version.

Installing overtop wouldn't solve the problems.
