You could probably run at 1024x768 with Low/Med and Off settings.

1024 with AA and maybe medium shadows, terrain and textures to medium, geometery high

1280 no shadows, no AA, same as above most everything set to medium or low, geometry high.

probably around 50 fps in both cases.

probably around 50 fps in both cases.

except when flying or in an arty strike area

Well, yeah also would probably depend on the number of players in the server 32 is what I was guessing, with 50 or so this will drag it down quite a bit.

I always pop smoke before I enter an alleyway that the enemy is camping in the hopes that it kills their frame rate.

you should build the box, sell it, then use the money to rent an 8th man so you guys can make scheduled scrims :/

athlon xp 2600+
512mb pc2100 ddr
radeon 9800se softmod/oc 128mb / 256bit

highest geometry/view distance
med terrain, med textures, low/off everything else
2x AA
800x600

i get like ~60fps up to 32 players, 30-40 w/ ~64. woot woot. but it cost like ~3-400USD a year or two back.

mediumish, with dynamic light and shadow off. 1024x768 max.. bf2 is a fucking monster.

i upgraded from 9800xt -> x850xt pe.. 512 -> 1.5gb.. onboard sound -> x-fi platinum.. uh.. and ill probably use bf2 as an excuse to buy a new hotas joystick too.

that sounds about right, except i played without AA on and everything else on Med/High and got decent frames. try and go for 2 gigs of ram... helped me.
