So I bought WoW a few weeks ago

i can't stick with any one character, i keep changing my mind about what race/class i want to play. so I have like several characters to 15-18 or so.

anyway, i'm getting bored with it already. i dunno any cool people who play it consistently that i could play with and MMOs suck when you're forced to team up with newbs

so anyone recommend any specific server and/or race/class? i don't know what i like so i can't make my own decisions. i like that druid can be flexible and do different things but i don't like that they're only half-good at them (jack of all trades, ace of none). i also don't like watching people's life bars so healing is out of the question. i don't like anything that can become easily frustrating, like being easily killed, even though my fav character to play right now is my 16 mage (but i'm getting bored with it)

being able to solo is a plus, and so is looking cool. i don't want to play gnome, dwarf, orc, or troll, because i either hate them or their mounts (they gave tauren wolf mount so tauren is ok)

my only background in MMOs was playing FF11 before this. i was in one of the most well known ff11 linkshells ( http://www.theorderls.com ). so i'm mad leet and you should invite me to your guild

oh and i think i'd only want to play on a pvp server (but that's a given right?)

every class can solo but some can solo better than others.

try a hunter yet?

they are pve kings.

don't like healing? then no shaman, paladin, priest, druid.

that cuts down your options.

rogues are great at soloing pvp and pve.

hunters are too if you are skilled.

warriors are great too but it holds more responsibility than hunter or rogue. you have to be on the ball and really learn your class for later tanking duties.

caster classes can all solo well in pve. some take more skill than others in pvp.

honestly since you said you like your mage the most i would say stick with it. i did the very same thing you are doing for a VERY long time before finally sticking with one character and keeping going on it. there are always times that the grind gets to you but you can just take a day off building up rested xp or mabye have an alt that is the complete opposite of your main that you can level on off days.

anyhow for server, there are tons and it doesn't really matter. alliance/horde are virtually the same. it's mostly all aesthetic, just like race. (but undead are still > anything if you can choose them)

Hey, I used to play FFXI. I remember your pimp bit in that one video :x

Edit: I think I've seen you talking on the same vent that I do. o_O

I was in this situation, then i decided on rolling a warrior. It's awesome, you won't regret it.

I didn't find ANY class fun until after level 30. I like my priest alot because it keeps me on my toes, didn't care much for my hunter (never did take it to endgame nor gear it up after 60 really) because it wasn't ever needed for ANYTHING other than the occasional pull or eventually MC. I stopped playing my hunter when people were still wiping on Lucifron.

If you like to solo a mage wouldn't be bad. You can poly your way out of alot of bad situations, AoE groups for faction and gold/items, hit HARD, and never have to buy food/water. Hunters and rogues are about the only other classes that are worth doing much solo other than some grinding. Hunters can feign death in solo PvE to save their asses and have a permanant tanking buddy (pet) to stop them from ever needing to bandage. Rogues can vanish when overwhelmed and can chop mobs down quickly.

The game only gets fun end-game ... and even then only when you start working on some decent gear.

You are in a pathetic, weak state of suck right now. It'll pass with some patience and detemrination.

I like my priest. I'm making a mage now.And yes, it gets a lot more fun when you get out of the suck levels.

Yes, PvP is where it's at.
