Now we don't normally post news about console games, however in this case its probably okay to make an exception. Firstly as its a remake onto the PC of a console game, and so its not-really console news. And secondly it is a kickass idea.
Now I haven't owned a console (other then those gathering dust in the wardrobe) in about a decade. But during the last decade I do have a very fond console memory. And that is going around to my mates place every wednesday, having a few drinks, watching a movie or two, having more drinks, before settling into a good game of GoldenEye on the 64.
Nothing really beats GoldenEye on the 64 in my opinion (as a former Sega fanboy too). 4 Good mates crammed on, or about a couch made for 3. Beating the hell out of each other both in the game, and out. After playing for a while, and a few more drinks, finally crashing out, to wake up the next day with sore thighs and ribs from being punched repeatedly while playing the 64.
The game had game had good gameplay, and fairly decent graphics for its time. And I was positively chuffed today when I saw that it is being remade in the HL2 source engine. Sure this means that I can't relive my couch action. But I can certainly give it a try at LAN's, or jumping online with my tag set as ++DRNuK++.
