What if the guy was in a kind of shock state
firing at him could of set him off thinking these guys shot at me... speeding up at him might have frozen him in a way
hard to say
Code4 thought that speeding up at him would of been the best thing, instead of giving a warning shot and setting him off...
shooting at him might have confused someone else in the area thinking there doing a "drive-by loot" and end up shooting at them thinking there protecting there area as well

It's not like in the movies, though... you're imagining a Danny Glover moment where the guy in the street cracks his neck, takes his time, shoots, and then dives out the way as the car flips over and blows up.
Imagine you are a guy with a gun in the middle of the street. You see a car coming at you. You point your gun and... instead of stopping to get shot, the driver speeds up, aiming right for you! Are you going to carefully squeeze off a shot, through the windshield and into the driver's forehead, or are you going to get the fuck out of the way while pulling the trigger a bunch of times, not knowing where the bullets are going?

if someone has a gun and he thinks the other person doesn't have one, the first person will be more apt to use/threaten use of that gun, since most of the time, the first person is a coward.
if both parties have guns and both parties are aware of it, neither will be inclined to use/threaten use of their guns. an armed society is a polite society.
meh... i guess i'll just forget it though. seems like i'm fighting a losing battle, and i'm getting sidetracked again. i still think this story is bs.

so what is it little man?
Those poor doves...killing for food is fine and dandy, but killing such nice, inoffensive birds simply for sport...it's not too harmful to their population, but it's just such a waste.
You'll have to pardon my hippiness here, I have a soft spot for animals, even the furry little white ones I've fed to large snakes over the years.
But anyway, the moral of this story is, I'm better than Code4.
ya, im not a huge fan of killing just for sport
but he was doing argentinan farmers a favor, doves are huge pests in argentina
ruin crops and stuff :)

too bad you're not really important enough (or smart enough) to be demanding answers. go ahead and stew a while longer, i may deign to reply
i only read the original post
and all i can say is EL OH FUCKING EL
hahahahahhahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahaha epic bullshit post.

but again, i still find it strange that he didn't let off a single round when confronted by a perp in the middle of the road with an actual visible gun. i'm not advocating that people attempt to shoot out their cars or anything assinine like that, but i find it strange that he said he sped up at the guy (obviously in an attempt to run him over, don't try to argue this please) but didn't try to shoot at the guy. he took a big chance. what if the other guy had started shoot at him? if he was indeed directly in front of the car, that would have been him (code4) a very easy target being that the windshield is in front, and the target isn't really moving. something travelled directly at you in a straight line doesn't force you to change your aim. if anything, the target grows bigger.
OK...we both agree that it's a bad idea for Code4 to be the one shooting while driving, right? So, let's move on from there.
The decision to shoot would have been Code4's friend, not his. Let's also assume that this all transpired while Code4's already travelling at a speed that was as fast as conditions would allow, not the speed limit (LOL). Would you say that without accelerating, it would be reasonable to assume that it would take Code4's vehicle 8 seconds from the point where he noticed the would-be jacker to the said jacker's location? Assuming he's going 40mph, that would make the guy roughly 500 ft ahead.
About 2 seconds into the encounter (380 ft away), C4 decides to stomp on the gas. This gives his passenger about 4 seconds of time to make an ethical decision of whether or not to open fire on a fellow human being, and if he makes that decision in 2 seconds, he has all of 2 seconds firing time before they're too close.
So, I think I've covered why C4 made the decision he did, and also why his passenger didn't fire.

i guess you didn't read the "smart enough" part.

No one tries to carjack a car going at 40MPH.
BTW, in 2 seconds, you can let off a good 10 rds from a gun, FYI.

so should I extrapolate from this post that it's something inconsequential or that you are some little kid posting from the computer your daddy bought you while he pays for your internet connection?
either way, you seem to be all talk and no substance.
:D
Dark Volcanic 09-06-2005, 04:26 PM No one tries to carjack a car going at 40MPH.
That's probably why the guy stood infront of the car with a gun, to try to get it to slow down.
ns(s) code4. A little disappointed in the glancing blow but sounds as if it was effective.
iNVAR 09-06-2005, 04:27 PM That's probably why the guy stood infront of the car with a gun, to try to get it to slow down.
Okay, I think people are stupid, and that guy is probably especially stupid, but no one's stupid enough to stand in front of a car going 40MPH.
stupidity can exceed a lot farther than 40mph my friend.
SuckyPenny 09-06-2005, 04:30 PM dont know about you guys, but if i was in NO i dont think i could resist shooting niggers for whatever reason i wanted to

He stood infront of the car long enough to get dinged by it, at the very least. I'd say stupidity stretches pretty far in this case.
