My argument, is let him have the TV because it's not worth killing someone over.

The message is clear, it's not okay to victimize the helpless people in this area. If you do, and you're caught, you will be shot.

for the last time, no one said to stop. there are glaring contradictions with what code4 did with regards to killing/not wanting to kill. he sped up at a perp with a gun standing in the middle of the road, but did not fire a shot at the person. he said he didn't want to kill someone, and yet he sped up right at the person HOPING he'd jump out of the way.


The reason I keep mentioning stopping, is that well, other than going faster, I don't see any other reasonable choice. Maybe you can enlighten me. Do you travel the same speed without slowing down? That would take nerves of steel and a brain of rocks. You speed up to give the perp less time to think. The faster you go, the shorter the closing time.

Dood. I know you're a cop, so what you said makes sense. In today's litigious times, cops have to eyeball the gun before they make that decision. Put yourself in a situation of complete anarchy. You and your neighbors have no tactical combat background. If you wait till the guy has drawn his gun, you're already that much closer to having you or one of your friends endangered by inaction. The guy's intent is obvious (to me at least).

If the choice was losing one of my neighbors/friends because of inaction, or killing an obvious dirtbag too quickly(he's stealing a TV...that's self evident, not racist), I'd go with killing the dirtbag.

I don't think Code4 was wrong in protecting himself. I'm all for protecting my neighbor's things, but I won't kill someone over their stuff. A human life is not worth less than my neighbor's television. I'd just let it go.

The story of the guy going for his gun when there were already four aimed at him sounds like bullshit but all we have to go on in Code4's story.

Why would the looter just stop at one valuable? He only took the TV because he doesn't have enough arms, hands, and time to take everything Code4 and his neighbors have and value at once. The guy had to prioritize.

Why wouldn't he come back for the other electronics, then their weapons, their money, then the family jewels, then their food and favorite daughters?

I am sure the armed looter is a fine upstanding human being and would never do that.



I am also sure that Code4, after reading this thread, repents his lethal ways and will next time go at the looter mano-a-mano, with bare fists and karate chops so as to teach a non-lethal lesson to a kid twenty years younger armed with a ranged weapon. Waaaa.

this is one of the hardest things to talk about because no matter what someone says ... you can always says that shooting someone like that was right or wrong...

no one can relate you have to be there for yourself see everything happening..
if my family was in danger who knows what would of happen, think what if he confronted those two guys without guns and just said something what do you think would have happened, or the guy with the tv and cheapo pistol...

I'll answer that question him.

He is 17, living with mommy and daddy and looking for a outlet. Daddy beats both of them so when dad isn't around he needs to find someone or something to take his agression out on without fear of repercussions. TW is that outlet.

The truth is none of us really know what we would do if confronted with such a sudden shake in our reality, I'd sit here on TW and say I wouldn't shoot him if....but I honestly don't know wtf i'd do when put in that situation. Judging by all the stories I keep hearing it sounds like fucking hell on earth.
