You dont write it like you really killed those people. You should consider not making false claims of killing individuals, who knows how it might come back to bite you in the ass later. (i remember reading about a body floating in the water that had been shot 5 times)

It has everything to do with the kid reaching for a fucking gun. Just pretend the TV is not there, and he reaches for a gun. What do you do?

Also, these people have to put up a tough front. If they appear weak and helpless then evey fucking thug in the area would be there to take advantage of them.

Since they weren't easy prey, and people were able to go escape their neighborhood to let others know about this I fucking bet money that they prevented more thugs from returning. You can call thugs and crooks dumb all you want, but when they know that their potential vicitims have weapons and will use them they will do the smart thing and avoid robbing them.





I will have to read his story again, but as far as I can tell thats exactly how it happened.

Sure, no one thinks kids who steal should 'get away with it', but that doesn't mean they should be shot dead. Stealing a TV doesn't get you the death penalty anywhere, so why should it suddenly do so now just because of a natural disaster?
Yea, you should have placed the guy under citizens arrest and brought him to the local authorities for processing.

As for Code, it's a little thing called moral courage. Code, knowing full well these little gangbanger thugs had a high probability of being armed, still took it upon himself to protect his neighbor's property. In the absence of law, someone has to fill the vacum. Without someone doing what Code did, you end up with bands of looters running the show. Simple, most everyone here understands that.

Now let's get this straight, IT IS ILLEGAL TO KILL SOMEONE OVER PROPERTY IF THEY DON'T POSE A THREAT TO YOUR OWN BODILY SAFETY. You can't waste some kid who's riding down the street on your bike just because it's your bike. Not even in Texas, not even in Florida. If they aren't busting into your house or property, you can't use lethal force against them legally.

Code told the thug to drop the TV. He didn't waste the kid for carrying the loot. It. Was. Not. About. The. Television.

That little bastard's life became forfeit when he went for his weapon. It. Was. About. The. Weapon. WEAPON.

Disaster or not, there's the be all-end all. Of course the situation only serves to reinforce the decision to shoot, but no matter what, as soon as the scumbag went for his weapon it became a primal, instinctual moment of life vs. death.

I gotta appauld Code4 for doing what he did. I have no objection to his vigilante form of law and order, and he made the right decisions to defend himself and his friends.

I have no problem believeing the lawlessness in the city. The news cannot get a good grasp of all of the gang activity and violence. I do not doubt for a second that it is much worse than the stuff they actually report. I would not have let anyone roam my part of the neighborhood carrying weapons with the intent of stealing, killing or raping. If you expose yourself as a pushover to gangs, they'll come back carrying and willing. I would feel much more comfortable having them dead and unable to return with the rest of thier posse. It is also very likely seeing as his house isn't completely destroyed, that they would return and claim the house for themselves, even more reason to defend it.

I'm not a violent person, but I wouldn't be willing to my life on the line for EVEN A SECOND for a bunch of gangbangin knaves. I think the same goes for Code4.

umm... in texas(and many other states) its perfectly legal to kill someone caught stealing your TV.

He still realizes, i'm sure, that the punk isn't from his neighborhood. At 2am, you see someone suspicious. This is after having a gun pulled on you in a similiar situation prior.
