You can't really call it that without admitting it's putting words together. Had he shot the guy straight up then you could say that. However, he actually only confronted someone stealing a TV and shot a person reaching for a pistol. Just a thought for the times.

look at it this way: a tv is floating away in the dark. being a smart guy code4 goes "drop it nigger!" now it really doesnt matter if he jacks a tv, but when he tells all his pals that this is a great place to jack shit their neighborhood is fucked. so they tell him to drop it, he doesnt and goes for a gun so they solve the fucking problem.
