As some of you know I am in month 4 of a 12 month tour in Iraq.
My wife has agreed to record my favorite shows from this coming season and send them to me. The trick is she wants a DVD recorder to do it on, as the VCR is showing it's age. I honestly think its her way of getting back at me for all those times I told her I could make her computer better by adding a better video card (the one currently in my PC) which meant that I could buy the newest one for me.
I am no expert on DVD-R/RW/etc and how she would acomplish getting several shows over a period of a week. 7 shows a week, each an hour long.
What type of recorder and blank media will I need to accomplish this? I know that only certain types of equipment will let her record a show on sunday, then on monday on the same DVD. I see 4.7 GB blank DVDs...how many shows will they hold?
