Fling :D washington_irving 08-26-2005, 12:03 AM Banned, thanks. :sunny: Evil Engineer 08-26-2005, 12:03 AM this is either a joke or someone with a massive cock wedged up his ass. I'm leaning toward massive cock wedged into said ass xpdnc 08-26-2005, 12:04 AM http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/obscene.html you'll notice that it says "broadcast" as in television or radio Acer 08-26-2005, 12:04 AM You can't be serious. Why else would they have a website and e-mail address to complain to?:rofl::rofl::rofl: Detox.enD 08-26-2005, 12:04 AM some people just don't get it Gangrel 08-26-2005, 12:05 AM yes let us in on the secret Maniac 08-26-2005, 12:05 AM :[ Austforbeer 08-26-2005, 12:08 AM I hope Ryan did an IP ban, but someone was probably doing it from their gf's computer. Not a bad idea actually so she can't see what he's posting. washington_irving 08-26-2005, 12:08 AM http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/obscene.html Obscene speech is not protected by the First Amendment and cannot be broadcast at any time. To be obscene, material must meet a three-prong test: -An average person, applying contemporary community standards, must find that the material, as a whole, appeals to the prurient interest; -The material must depict or describe, in a patently offensive way, sexual conduct specifically defined by applicable law; and -The material, taken as a whole, must lack serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value. This website has SO MUCH scientific value. I don't know what the fuck HE was talking about. I still say he gets his ass kicked everyday for being a whiny twat. xpdnc 08-26-2005, 12:08 AM it's RAYN, not RYAN Uncle Silas 08-26-2005, 12:09 AM Should I bust out my 1st amendment law book and point out all the reasons why the FCC wouldn't give a shit about this? What a dip shit. Coylter 08-26-2005, 12:09 AM This thread is now about saf http://www.tribalwar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=392779 xpdnc 08-26-2005, 12:09 AM http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/obscene.html Obscene speech is not protected by the First Amendment and cannot be broadcast at any time. TW is NOT A BROADCAST STATION Darkstrand 08-26-2005, 12:11 AM The website isn't being broadcast, therefore it doesn't fall under this. sadly it would. Every once and a while they use the obscenity laws to go after porn companies that make extreme porn (i.e. depicted rape). TW doesn't have anythign strong enough to warrant them doing it though and they only try and go after those kind of charges rarely for chritian lobby groups. xpdnc 08-26-2005, 12:11 AM ok then, i'm off to bed Zulu 08-26-2005, 12:14 AM wow this was so exciting xpdnc 08-26-2005, 12:14 AM sadly it would. Every once and a while they use the obscenity laws to go after porn companies that make extreme porn (i.e. depicted rape). Perhaps there are other laws, but I've never heard of the FCC being used to take down rape sites | ||
