News: From Doom to Gloom (and giant mosquitoes)

For those of you who are forum whores, you may have seen a thread I started about a bit NPR had about John Romero, with some rather funny comments about Daikatana. Well, turns out you can listen to this story on the NPR website. If you are a fan of PC gaming history, check this out. I really don't understand how anyone could have thought that Daikatana was a good game.

i dunno... i never got to finish Daikatana because i was going through it coop with my ex. But the part beginning part i did do was ok. At least it has a coop mode. I'm going to fire it up with my daughter soon. Maybe it will really really suck as i get i further into it.

Yeah.. but without John "Suck it down" Romero, it would just be another bad game.

In 1999 it would have been more fun.
