How come Tribes 1 looks like this?

I've got a 6800GT 256MB running the game on OpenGL with Generic settings. The different OpenGL settings don't make a difference. Software mode doesn't do the 'wirey' stuff to the terrain, but it looks horrible.

Any ideas on how to fix this? It's playable but really annoying...

Running any sort of modified .exe? LastHope, Hudbot, etc?

Yeah I'm running HudBot... But I don't think that should really matter because I ran it on my old computer (with a 9800Pro 128MB) and it looked/ran just fine. There's nothing I've changed with Tribes on this new computer. It's the exact same folder--mods, scripts, etc.

I'm guessing it's something with the 6800GT?

i got that when i was using Severed's Tribes install. I switched back to my own setup and it was fine.

I've got a 6800 Ultra and get the exact same wirey textures at a distance. Using the Severed folder with Hudbot and Animated Sky etc.

I believe it's fixed in the latest hudbot version(0.420), so try that. (I'm assuming you have an old version since your disc is transparent)

Awesome, thanks Slitz... That fixed it right up.
