Yes, the Flordia lawyer we all know and love has offically lost his mind. He has tried to get the COO of Bolt Media arrested because a site that Gaming Revolution owns hosted an AIM buddy icon that depicts Tompson being blown up.
<blockquote>
Ladies and gentlemen, Jack Thompson is currently trying to have my boss, Lou Kerner, arrested by the NYPD for one of these terrifying death threats.

You see, this AIM buddy icon was posted over at BadassBuddy, a Bolt.com affiliate site. Jack decided this was a death threat and freaked out. That's correct - an AIM buddy icon. Jack is apparently terrified of buddies.

So scared, in fact, that he immediately called the New York offices of Bolt and demanded to talk to our legal counsel. Instead, Lou Kerner, the president of Bolt, was kind enough to return Jack's call personally later that day. Lou told Jack it was no big deal and that he would contact BadassBuddy and ask them to remove the icon. Which he did, and later, they did.

But not before Jack sent the following letter to both Bolt and the FBI. The FBI. I hear they have a special buddy icon task force now.
</blockquote>
After they removed the icon, he sent a letter to the NYPD claiming that since they removed the icon, it means they admit guilt and should be arrested right away. It's people like Jack Thompson that give lawyers a bad name.

Quite a few TribalWarriors live in Florida... Perhaps we should pay Mr Thompson a visit.

:lol: That is so obsured that it almost seems fake.

I am sure terrorists are going to signal their attacks by communicating using buddy icons, "Hey look Akmid changed his buddy icon from Smufette to a pirate, that is the signal!"

What a freak. The sad thing is that he is considered an 'expert' by people and invited to speak. It is clear that he doesn't care about 'kids being damaged by videogames' as much as he is by the prospect of making $$ by suing the videogame companies.

I honestly thnk he might be insane. Did you see what he said about Janet Reno when he was running for office in Florida against her? That she was being controlled by the mafia. He passed her a note during the campaign asking her to check a box to indicate her sexual orientation. Unbelievable.

Just because someone should kill him doesn't make it a death threat.

I'd give him a death threat, and tell him that tetris made me do it.
