Hudbot and Vooodoo CardModdy 08-14-2005, 11:56 PM Hi, i have a hudbot running on Voodoo3 card but then all the textures become invisible and all i see are player indicators and some huds. does anyone know how to fix this? slogg 08-15-2005, 02:31 AM something tells me that hudbot which is an OpenGL hack (i believe) wouldnt run very good on a Glide card Torks 08-15-2005, 08:12 AM something tells me that hudbot which is an OpenGL hack (i believe) wouldnt run very good on a Glide card 3dfx cards support Opengl, Directx (up to 8.0?) and Glide... Decepti|<on 08-15-2005, 08:25 AM he needs his glide for hacks though so opengl isn't an option Moddy 08-15-2005, 03:48 PM he needs his glide for hacks though so opengl isn't an option No! i deleted the glide2x.exe already :D i wanna get hudbot installed because the explosions look awesome! Yea it does support OpenGL its like "OpenGL (3dfx Voodoo3)" to select in the video thing but then when i play game i dont see any terrain or texture ran by hudbot so everythings invisible :'( Decepti|<on 08-15-2005, 03:50 PM you're a fucking retard if you would ever run tribes in opengl on a 3dfx card oh wait you're a fuckin 'tard regardless Moddy 08-15-2005, 03:54 PM you're a fucking retard if you would ever run tribes in opengl on a 3dfx card oh wait you're a fuckin 'tard regardless Thanks sir, you are awesome :sunny: Total 08-15-2005, 04:52 PM 3dfx will not run OpenGL sufficiently under the current windows architecture (if you are running ME or greater). You can try to find a copy of Wicked3D drivers and load them. OR You can save up your money and buy a more current computer. Moddy 08-15-2005, 04:57 PM never really got a current computer for years cuz played this mmorpg called Runescape lol it just required software driver, very minimal graphics anyway thanks, what are some good video cards these days? Total 08-15-2005, 05:07 PM First off, what kind of motherboard do you have? That will determine what kind of video card you can support. Moddy 08-15-2005, 05:20 PM ill just get a new motherboard probbaly along with a new cpu, u think i shood just go to some store and buy a whole set or invidivual hardware? Total 08-15-2005, 08:57 PM Depends on your cash Amadeus 08-16-2005, 07:29 AM www.anandtech.com is waiting for you. :sunny: *SPAWN* Devil 08-16-2005, 12:34 PM www.anandtech.com is waiting for you. :sunny: http://www.tomshardware.com/index.html But after you check out the benchmarks etc, take a trip over to someplace like http://www.newegg.com and check for the detailed specs you are looking for. I must warn you though if you plan on buying a computer piece by piece, its not just as simple as matching a Pentium D 840 to a pentium Pentium D 840 board. Theres about a dozen compatibility issues you should check for depending on the motherboard, chipset, agp port, power requirements. On a side note http://www.dell.com/ has a pretty nice selection. An every dell i can remember using with the exception of a dimension 300 mhz along time ago (mighta just been windows) has worked well. I have suggested them to friends, coworkers and out of the 5 newest dells i can think of, they have all performed wonderfully. But on a side note either their TFT or LCD screens like all, aren't best for gamming the images kind of "streak" from the last frame so I would suggest finding a *nice* CRT type of monitor ^^ Moddy 08-16-2005, 01:09 PM thanks guys i think i found wat i was looking for! :) x_Maerlyn_x 08-17-2005, 01:41 PM But on a side note either their TFT or LCD screens like all, aren't best for gamming the images kind of "streak" from the last frame so I would suggest finding a *nice* CRT type of monitor ^^ Let's completely derail this thread... Welcome to 2004, Dell LCDs are good to go for gaming: http://www.maximumpc.com/2004/05/dell_ultrasharp.html I am sure many people that currently own the 2001FP would agree with the above review. If you want to go extra large (wide-screen no less) check out the Dell 2405. | ||
