Tribes Vengeance ?

Well i am an old tribes player.. i started playing Starsiege Tribes december 1998 when i remember correct and enjoyed it almost 2 years. Played Tribes 2 for another year and dived later into MMO worlds like Anarchy Online or Starwars Galaxies. Now... i tried the Tribes Vengeance Demo abit and was pretty suprised about how nice it looks and how my old skiing, jetpack, disk and chaingun skills still work with it. So i ordered the full version but i cant find many fanpages.. or even ladders to that game so i checked out Tribalwar .. the good old tribes source page but i am kinda confused with whats going on here atm :) Are there ladders... clans for Tribes Vengeance ? Preferable in Europe ? Thanks for any infos :worried:

well before the flammers get here and tell you its dead...its pretty much a coaster now...not meeting the "tribes" standard and then, when the game was in its prime, all I heard was bitching about all the new players...no one helped them out, so they said fuck it returned the game which contributed to the downfall of TV and saved themselfs the disapointment factor of being "targeted for enjoying the game and being harrased untill it wasn't worth it. " by Knightmare and others...


well I gess Im now an IG cock sucker to Knightmare for telling the truth that being targeted like a jew to a nazi helped kill the franchise

It's a cool game Cosima. Matches were actually alot of fun, but the game's support was dropped by VUG.

Search for pickup's on the weekends, that's about the best time to pub. There's also still some competition action over at the BEML.

I am not a negative veteran :P I am open for new gameplay ideas and i honestly like what i saw in the demo. And i dont care about what others say ... but sad to hear that ppl think its not meeting a somewhat called "tribes standard" cause i think its tribes after all and it looks better then ever from the gfx. But i see there were some serious troubles about it here .. however it will not stop me from playing TV and i thank you for the infos. Too bad noone wants that game... but tribes had always that problem that not many like to play it.

Well, really, what's to learn in basic gameplay? skiing? movement? Pick those up in seconds, if you played before.
Being useful to your team? okay, maybe thats a lot harder in TV, at the same time you can rack up kills and foster the illusion that you are being useful. But you can do that in any game.

Drop in. The osis server is always open and nearly always adminned. sometimes we even kick the right people.

Sadly the game was pretty much DOA on arrival. It did attract a few noobs to the franchise, but turned off the vast majority of the community.

Looked kinda pretty but lacked depth and too much other shit to even post.

Bummer you spent any amount of money on it. Welcome back.

Suggestion: Play a real game like Tribes 2 Classic.

anyone that went from T1 to T2 can say .. ya I knew how to ski and shoot the disc, but as T2 was fundamentally different (and controversial to T1 players) the game in its self was a new environment which kept going for years (and still going thru Classic). T:V on the other hand as stated several times had no "learning curve" and is "nOObie friendly", giving nOObs and anyone with a twitch mouse hand the same even ground as those skilled Tribes vets, that is what killed T:V in the long run ... no "itch" to play and get better aspect to its gameplay, aka , no replay value, aka , no future ..........

I went from playing a shit load of T2 to playing TV (mainly cuz I was sick of playing constant katabatic only games, or completely empty other games). After playing for nearly 6 months, I'm screwed when I go back to T2, softened by the soopaar easy skiing and the newbie competition, T2's really hard to adust back to.

Theres definately a few clans still playing, but I don't play that much anymore (job + time issues). Maybe try the KMA guys, they're a decent set of blokes.
