News: Holiday Games Preview

Compared to last year, the upcoming holiday game releases seem lackluster. The F.E.A.R demo did suprise me, and I am now looking forward to playing the full version (some of the spooky elements reminded me of System Shock 2). Other than that, I'll probably play AOE3 and Civ 4, but not really looking forward to them in a "oh my god I can't wait until they are released" sort of way. Toms Hardware has a <a href="http://www.tomshardware.com/game/20050808/index.html">preview</a> up of games that will be released in time for the holidays. Included in the review are Age of Empires III, Black and White 2, Brothers in Arms: Earned In Blood, Call of Duty 2, CivilizationIV, Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, F.E.A.R, Quake 4, and Star Wars: Empire at War.

I'm hoping the new Elder Scrolls will fix the series problems and be a pretty good game. That and the ones you mentioned are the only decent PC games on the horizon i've seen.

When is S.T.A.L.K.E.R due out? That looks pretty damn sweet. :)

ya stalker is the only thing i am really hanging for. I will be buying Civ4 and AoE3 on release though for my better half. She plays those series non-stop. I used to, but she doesn't like to play me, i am "mean".

Dungeon Siege 2 In August. My interest fell when WoW came out.
