hey guys. i just want to encourage you to stop by the T.R.O.C. site to check it out. good things are happening there. the community is growing and so is the site. they offer live chat as well as free web/forum hosting to clans.

Its not a play tribes. It's a renegades community but base players use/still play. They hold renegades tournaments, even before TWL did a LT draft.

Nonreg and Phantasma are good examples.

Not to mention it will grow if the Renwerx game takes off.

I believe the use of HM is actually encouraged in UltraRen, not sure about Ren though.

using HM or any kinda cheat really is a pure indavidual preference. does anyone here promote the use of cheats? i am sure at one time or another most of us has used one. why should making the flag more visable be considered a cheat. think about where they game has gone since it's first release. all these mods with defferent kind of weapons and what not. the game has gone from one extreme to the other. so someone decided one day that he had a hard time finding the flag and was tired of running around the whole damn map looking for one person who had a flag. then decided that he should make the flag more visable so he didn't have a hard time seeing it's where-abouts. and we called him a cheat. or maybe he did it out of pure fun. who knows. i will support troc and all it's doing's. EasyTarget has done alot for the community and still is doing more. so if you are a base player then come on over. no lame turrets. no lame laser rifle's or grenade launchers. just good old ctf the way it was meant to play

Hint: everyone has the same weapons, but only that one player has a huge ass flag on his screen.

what xml is saying... why not make it known and have a few people have it where those few have a big advantage when you can give it out so all can have equal advantage.

so were the friend/foe indacators, but yet there are people who use one's that are extremely larger then the default ones. you gonna call them cheats because it makes that person see the enemy better at a farther distance.
if we want to get technical about it. pretty much everything about the game has change from it's orriginal state. so what if the flag was made small, is it a crime to enhance your game play by having a larger flag or haveing FFI's that are larger then default. before we start calling what's what a cheat. let's think about how this game has changed over the yrs to enhance the indavidual gamer's game play.

Before I refused to play with HM i found it so gay. but then one day i decided to download it, i found it hard to get used to it, but then started to realize, that it wasnt necesserily a cheat, just a different type of gameplay. hm makes the game change. seeing pple through walls isnt such a big deal in spawn, there arent realy any walls to hide in, it just means u cant hide and sneak behind the defenders which i find gay. i don't find having a bigger flag so terrible, it isn't like it means the actualy flag is bigger it just means the image of it is larger, and means u can see it better and catch it even though its a big distance away. i prefer to see a great catch, than a guy looking around for the flag, eventhough u gotta make the image of the flag bigger.

and arent cheats supposed to make u better? pfft, happy mod doesnt realy make you better and if it does, well i would actauly encourage pple to get it, bla bla cheats pfft watever, as i said b4 i prefer to have a bigger flag and being able to do more amzing things than saying: no its part of the game to have a small flag. i dont think hm ruins the game at all.
