So, we started MC, well, the guild started last week, second run this week. Only seem to be doing one run atm, as we have to do it coop with another guild. We killed Lucifron on the third attempt :x

Alls well and good, we try Magmadar (apparently they got him to 60% last time) and we got him to 55% on our best effort.

What can we do, what are some tips, ideas etc.

And yes, we're alliance.

The warrior could keep aggro, but then the healers got feared.
So we tried once with a group of healers, when they got feared group two came in.
But alas the dogs repopped and we gave up.

Heal from very max range on the tank, and you will be able to heal without getting feared.

Any other advice?
Is it meant to be a long fight? Cause the damage seemed very slow compared to Lucifron :-/

Mag's fear is on a timer and you prolly have the CQW mod spamming about 5s before fear. If you warrior(s) work on their timing and hit Berserker stance at that time they wont get feared. Healers stay at max range and make sure everyone of them has their interupt setup correctly. Other people need to come to the healers for heals. The priests esspecialy need to not move unless they are fireballed. We have started using this method instead of fear ward mostly. It works very well for us atleast but we have been doing MC since mid febuary.

If you have just started MC there is nothing you can do to pick up your DPS you just have to trudge through it. It will be a long fight. Bring mana pots, and make sure all your healers have an their CQheal set up to interupt their heals appropriatly or your gonna end up in a world of hurt in terms of mana, and as you know once that happens its over.

We do it on alliance without dwarf priests. Tank pulls with a bow and just stands in once place even if he gets conflagrated. Ranged classes stand at absolute maximum range and only move if conflagrated, and melee classes stand behind him, and for the majority of the time, don't get healed. If they take damage, they back off and use first aid. If they're too low for first aid or can't use it yet, they come to the healers and get a heal.

We use CQMagmadar for fear warnings, and the tank goes into berserker after a warning. If they screw up, they hit their pvp trinket, or they get dispelled almost immediately.

Just keep him out of frenzy and keep the main tank up. It's a very long fight, so just be patient and he'll eventually drop.

...NO PURPLE ITEM...

Not true. We currently run MC with Pals For Life (remember the Leeroy video?) and it is going well. PVP at this point (even with the honor system+rewards) is still worthless (unless you enjoy the Hillsbrad zerg), so we're just trying to keep occupied until Battlegrounds. Once BGs come out, we'll drop WoW PvE like the sack of shit it is.

keep your casters at max range. One the tank gets mag in place that fight is simple. Fear doesnt reach if your at max casting range
