they managed to get nearly 2 full raid groups and attacked from the tram and the main gate...took like an hour to load then the server dies =\

wonder if they(the servers) will ever be able to hold up with such large raids in the future.

Crappy faction leader placement ftw.

Magni is so undefended and exposed, and there is a building nearby where if you could get a lock and two rogues in, you could summon an entire raid without being seen (the building is empty, has points you can't see from outside, and nobody ever goes inside there).

Unlike Thrall, my god how many guards can you stack in one room. :[

Since every capital has small rarely visited areas it's not so much about getting in but killing him before wave after wave of enemy players show up. The fact is Magni is a quick walk away from the AH and the bank. Thrall is on the other side of the city next to a damn fruit vendor. The lag alone from just SOME of the alliance coming from the AH/bank to defend Magni is enough to make the fight a joke. Look at all the people who bitch about IF's lag, now add a horde raid party to that. I don't know how tough Magni is nor do I know anyone who does since most raids I hear about end in a lagfest.

You see more threads asking about Magni strats then you do Thrall. There's a reason for that.

Yeah, those guards were fucking badass.

You have to realize that faction leaders DO NOT aggro so until you pull the leader it's just a medium-sized elite mob encounter. Reason you saw pretty much no horde in the throne room was because most of them were either outside Org countering the other raid party or in MC. Alliance on the raid said they got wiped almost right after Thrall dropped (around the time they stopped recording). If you mark the time from the second they got attacked by a guard to the moment Thrall died it's around 4 minutes and 20 seconds. Around 2 and a half minutes for Thrall himself. A week after this horde killed the Archbishop without the alliance even knowing.

Currently the main strategy for faction leader kills is to keep it from becoming a PvP encounter. You can't really blame this on anyone except Blizzard since the servers can't handle a fullscale PvP battle in the middle of a capital.

the hardest leader to figure out that i've seen so far was bugged out magni(we raided IF a long time ago and he'd heal after losing not even 10% of his life) and jaina who does this insane blizzard aoe and teleports you and herself everywhere
