So my guild has just lost it's only two dwarf priests (1 had a revelation related to real life and has banned himself from the internet, the others wife is threatening divorce if he doesn't get the fuck off the computer), and lots of guildies are worried that we won't be able to down Mag without them during our upcoming run.

Have any of you dealt with Mag without fear ward? If so, what should we be expecting?

Lol, what do you think horde's guild do? You just need a nice tank that can learn the secrets of changing stances and maybe a mod that yell in raid so the tank should expect the fear easier.

Rofl, horde does it without any sort of fear protection, Main Tank has a mod to time when he needs to switch stances(CQmag I think), most of our tanks say it's probly the most intense and fun fight in the instance.

Ya cause Will of the Forsaken doesn't do anything to fear.

and that means the MT has to be UD to keep him from running around, of which he can only use once every 2 minutes, we have a Tauren as MT

We have tauren and orc tanks as well, no WOTF for us either.

We use tremor totems mixed with berserk stance so theres never a mistake.

we don't have any dwarf priests either..

his fear has the same range as priest heals, so we can stay just in range to heal the MT while being out of range of the fear if we're on the same side as the MT (will also be out of range of the fire breath that way)

someone will have a 30 second timer thing and call out fear warning, which means all ranged people need to get out of fear range until he does it, and the tanks switch to berserker.

things do go wrong.. missed tranq shots coincide with fears and stuff like that, so tanks do die. Just be prepared to switch to healing another one.

We like to have a paladin stay out of combat to res healers and/or tanks

We use tremor totems mixed with berserk stance so theres never a mistake.

Our usual tank is pretty good at, and theres usually another 4 warriors behind mag ready to grab aggro if he should somehow die.

But even after last patch we've found the tremor totem to be unreliable.

In this fight it doesn't mean shit. WotF will help with one single round of fearing. Then, it'll be 2 minutes before WotF can do any good.

edit: for those who dont know, Mag fears every 30 seconds.

blah, we fucked it up twice tonight before getting it right.. but regardless it's nice to know it's doable without a dwarf. it's definately a different fight when you aren't dual fear-warding. :)

All this shit about horde doing this with out fear protection is lollers. Probably 50 percent of the raid is undead.

Unfortunately our homo guild is full of carebears and very few of them are undead, most of which were the tribes guys from SP. Our tanks are half orc, half tauren (zero undead), priests are almost all troll (1 undead afaik), mages and locks are undead aside from 2 troll mages.

man, that sucks.
There really isnt any reason for anyone not to be undead or tauren, unless they want to be a hunter, but that should be like 5% of the population ;p. Seriously though, racial abilities need to be balanced.

Rofl, I can't beleive anyone thinks WoTF is effective during the mag fight.

WotF would only work once, stance-dance in and out of Berserker.

We hadn't done Mag with a dwarf priest (we didn't have any), so last time we summoned in a guildmates 50 dwarf priest alt. It was so easy it was ridiculous.
