Response to the Killing of the MasterServers

Assume for a minute that the T1 and T2 servers are permanently down. Is there any way to replicate their behavior? I can see three options:

1) People with running servers post IP addresses somewhere

2) Try to get our hands on the Master Server code and run them elsewhere

3) Rebuild master server code

Are any of these feasable? Is anyone willing to take up this cause?

4) Stop caring about T1 and T2 and do something else.

Get a copy of All-Seeing Eye and view all the servers and how many people are playing on them and connect from there. ;)

It's been rumored that someone already knows how to emulate a T1 master server.

Don't ask me though, I just know that someone else knows that it might be possible.

Yes, someone did emulate a new T1 Master Server... making it twice that he saved Tribes. If they want to post here, they will.
