TV savior?

I know most of you have already written off TV...and I fully understand.

However, there are some new, pretty amazing developments that I dont think have been mentioned on TW.

Rapher has successfully created the beta for:
Arena
TeamRabbit
LT (just like T2 spawn for the non T1ers)
Duel
...among other mods.

I must say after having played LT on some new maps, the excitement and addiction were right back where they used to be.

T:V needs advertisement and exposure to be 'saved', not new gametypes.

I would come back for LT.

Pod and Grappler would be GONE and Tribes would be back, imo.

I'm not holding my breath. Lots of projects have started and progressed. None, as of yet, have been finished.

LT is complete. Played it all night long last night. No pod, no grappler, no HO spam.

Just skill vs skill.

The *ONLY* thing imho that could make LT any better is to implement some carving since there is no grapple. Changing direction is more difficult and with a tight chaingun spread, its really tough to do anything but backcap.

That said, even if my above wish was not granted, its the best thing i could play on my computer so im already sold.

Cuz early on most modders wanted to wait for the patch before they started doing any of this. Plus I heard that modding's a bitch in T:V anyway. Once it was announced that the patch was cancelled, most of those modders left or didn't care anymore. rapher and some others are the few left.

Not really. Pretty much the ENTIRE T:V modding community was going to bring back projects from the previous games.

Jetball - TR2
SS:2845 - SS
GTW - GTW
TAC3 - TAC
Ren - Ren

Beteween those, we got TONS done. All of our dreams and ideas had to be modified and horribly twisted to work on T:V. Some left because of the state of the T:V community. The rest left when they learned that there would not be a patch to fix some errors within T:V

LT is even better in T:V than it was in T1... crazy fun and grappler/shieldpack/buckler free.

In LT you spawn with light, disk, grenade launcher, chain, and energy pack. I don't remember if you have hand nades or mines.

There are no base assets. No invs. No turrets etc. Thus it's tribes with no rape/mortar spam.
