2%Sniper 04-16-2005, 02:59 PM how do i make my fov like this in T:V
http://img185.echo.cx/my.php?image=fov7ml.jpg
Im not talking about Console, FOV 120, i dont want the gun to be streched, anyone know?
CED/Esmeralda 04-16-2005, 03:29 PM Goto T:V/Program/Bin ~~~> Default.ini... In properties of Defaut.ini you need to disable "read only" to make changes then re-enable after... Go down to section: [Editor.EditorEngine] and on line FOVAngleDegrees make change to what you want....
2%Sniper 04-16-2005, 03:59 PM Thanks

Help?
CED/Esmeralda 04-16-2005, 10:38 PM When you do this, if you go into your options like 'Controls', yadda, prior to gaming, it will default to original setting; OK?? Lemme know...
2%Sniper 04-17-2005, 08:12 AM Yea when i change shit from controls they never save. I had same thing with huds b4 they didnt work
Firerizer 04-17-2005, 12:20 PM Try:
Tribes > Program > Bin > User.ini
[Engine.PlayerController]
DesiredFOV=130.000000
DefaultFOV=130.000000
I play without Weapons, so I am not sure to what effect it will have on them.
2%Sniper 04-17-2005, 02:58 PM Ok ill try, but it probably wont work because it doesnt save any changes i make. Whatever i do doesnt stay that way.
Amadeus 04-17-2005, 03:33 PM Uh.. check if your files are read-only?
2%Sniper 04-17-2005, 03:56 PM They wernt b4 but i changed em now and they still dont save
CED/Esmeralda 04-17-2005, 06:13 PM Sniper: Goto VUGames\Tribes Vengeance\Program\Bin\Def ault.ini and under header[Editor.EditorEngine] change FovAngleDegrees=90.000000 to FovAngleDegrees=95.000000 or 100 or 105 or whatever ---> gets "fisheyed" if too much..
BUT before you open the Default.ini file, right click on it, select properties and 'de-select'(disable or uncheck or whatever term you want to use) "read only" ~~~~> so there is no check-mark by this; then open the file and make changes to the FOV as indicated above... Exit and when it says 'do you want to save changes', say yes or accept..... Now you need to once again right click the Default.ini file and select properties; now check(re-enable) "read only"; then exit...... The FOV is now changed..... You cannot change this in the User.ini file.........
Now, do the same thing in the Tribes Vengeance\Program\Bin\TV_ CD_DVD.ini file also which is basically a duplicate of the Default.ini file....
2%Sniper 04-17-2005, 07:04 PM I have followed each step, but does not change anything. My fov is the way i left it and the gun position did not move at all. Thx for trying though, have you tried doing this yourself and it has worked ?
thedrummingfish 04-18-2005, 10:04 PM ive messed with changing FOV in all kinds of places, Default.ini, TV_CD_DVD.ini, console etc....it just stretches the gun like always, but i have been able to save the changes though. havent had a problem with that.
