I think it is a group think mentality where you are considered "cool"
if you bash T:V. Kids read forums and the pervasive trolling of T:V haters - not only turns kids off from this game, but turns them away from Tribes genre, an excellent example of shooting yourself in the foot.

But like [Ms] iNsAnE said, the game is getting more and more fun, :sunny: and if these mods can be popularized, it will attract new players to T:V and maybe to the other Tribes games. Please show some support here:

I don't wish to bash T:V. I play it nearly every night, and enjoy it. But damn...it's fucking doomed due to the support issues.

We could all sit around and talk about how great it can still be, but that's no more true than for our other dead games.

I tested LT mod all day today. It is the best mod i have played in any Tribes game...it's a lot more fast paced...rapher is doing an awesome job and isn't going to let us down like VUG...gj raph.. :chill:

You can't really call anyone a fanboy anymore. Everyone hates VUG and what they did to us. But some people still find the game fun. And as much as people hate VUG and all the people like Thrax, I think most people who played the game found it to be a decent game that had potential to be really good.

These gametypes are fun, nobody's saying it's going to bring back hundreds of players. But it will hopefully bring back some people who're just curious about these new gametypes.

Anyway, all I ask is, just give it a chance. Don't start shitting on all this before you've even tried it. Just play these new gametypes (once they're out) for a little while, and if you like it fine, if not then you would've wasted only 20-30 minutes.

The way I see it, regardless of support from VUG or not, I payed my money for this fucking game and I want to get my money's worth and enjoy as much of it as possible.

Well said. Good to see COBRA and (MA) are the Aussie clan putting up servers for these mods. I just hope the T:V community rallies around these new mods that the gawd Rapher has introduced, and uses this as a lightning
rod to re-start interest in this game.
