8v8 Ctf

What do people think about 8v8 for competition? and yes, for TV. do u like the idea? the game will run smoothly and personally i think it'll be more fun. just wondering what ppl think about it.

should of been done months ago but people with good fps in a 10v10match like having that advantage.

It should, because it ruined what little hope most people had left.

meh, i felt it a while ago that we werent getting a patch, or if we did, it wouldnt amount to shit anyway.

i personally do NOT like 8v8... it just doesnt seem like tribes with such small sides. 10v10 is a good size IMO... sadly we cant go up to more due to the engine, but i miss 14v14 days of t2.

For the people that did purchase the game....

I suggest playing the shit out of it till you don't want to play it anymore and get your moneys worth.

If you enjoy it, there's no reason not to, patch or no patch.

Heck, play T1, T2 or Legends for that matter. It dosen't matter. Play what you enjoy for as long as you want to play it.

ralf. T:v 8v8? What do you plan to do? Get EVERYONE that plays t:v to get into one serveR?!

Should always have been 8v8... 10v10 causes the small T:V maps (which were designed for 8v8) to play like a cluster and kills game performance.

Probably never see it happen though... top teams don't want to risk losing or benching any of their players so they'll do their best to prevent the switch to 8v8.

i say let the idea float. i'd be up for it, and it would help keep good teams with playable numbers. everyone seems to have roster issues these days.

I'm all for an 8v8 ladder. My computer for one barely can handle matches, but it's a good thing we have tourneymode to help! ugh. However, I think to make tribes more fun.. we need to incorporate a fantasy draft sort of thing into the 8v8 to make it more successful :) Place all players into a pool and randomly generate teams. It sucks to have a ladder with a lot of talent but having like 3-4 teams that can just KILL everyone else. I say mix em up! Also, when teams drop the ladder, guess who their best players goes to? THE BEST TEAM and makes them even stronger. Of course that is what should happen but I personally think it would hilarious to have a mixed team base. Open players without a team should be placed on a random team. fyi - I don't expect you guys to take it seriously, but it is my deep down inner desire.

cool, well better framerates isnt the only reason for me too. i think it plays better cause a lot of the maps are fitting for 8 on a team

I've played both. BEML is 8v8. It's OK, but the strategy is actually a lot deeper in 10 v 10. It's cool with me either way, but I like the freedom of positioning, and flexibility in lineups that 10 v 10 gives me.

I like 8v8 because
A) FPS
B) Lag
C) it is a more fun game when it isn't a clusterfuck. More strategy driven less skill.

Depends a lot on maps. I personally like 10v10 tho.
