I realize that people may never see the other thread as the title isn't completely descriptive - hence this thread. So please sign up here if you are interested in a 20 person closed beta for MP-Katabatic. We would like to do final play testing to determine the number of deployables, etc. The beta will be this weekend (see the thread linked above for some closed beta screenshots).

Damn Wonderball your map conversions are impressive. You work on hot rod cars dont you =). Your very meticulous and it shows. I'll try it. what the hell.
Maybe you can throw your mapping skills the way of the Renegades\Legends team.

It's up to Wonder what day/time. I will probably be away at some point over Easter.
I'll upload the map to the 22 man server. How ever Wonder wishes to get the map into all of your hands is up to him. I can host the map, but I know Wonder dosen't want a link publicly posted for DL yet.
The reason it's not going public beta yet is because Wonder has a few obvious changes he's going to make before a final release like adding in falling snow, and the current skybox textures need a lot of work. Not to mention getting the deployables balanced.
He's concerned that since the filesize, aprox 16 megs, will be considerable, he dosen't want people thinking that the beta version is final and then not have those players download the final version of the map.
It's VERY hard to test this map in a small setting because there are more deployables than you can shake a stick at and Wonder wants to play the map at capacity with that many deploaybles. In my opinion, I feel he needs to reduce the current amount.
Right now, he's got 6 upper deployable turrets and 6 mines along with a mortor turret where the plasma turret use to be, and an AA turret on top of the base. In my opinion, I feel the mortor turret is overpowered since you can spam your own stand making capping close to impossible.
Then he's got another 3/4 mines and turrets in the gen room. By the way, there are also duplicate gen in the gen room. You can see them in Wonder's pic he added in the other thread.
He also has inventories and repair packs throughout the map in areas I did not expect, so we really need a public opinion here.
We also need to test capping. The ridges around the flagstand were causing quite a problem.
