Unofficial Patch Release

I wonder, since the patch is already made...could we maybe get some one like Irriant (sp?) to release it as a fan work sorta like like wut he did wit MP_Gigant or something, since it's clear VUgames won't release it.

Dude, it was never done. There isn't a patch to hand out.

It likely exists, but is too tied up in legal knots to release. VUG probably got tired of hemorrhaging money to their legal department and that's what ultimately killed the patch.

i doubt they finished it

irrational said back in november that they completed the patch. it was held up due to legal reasons

my guess is punkbuster and it was too costly ( :rolleyes: ) to take punkbuster support out of it...or really that punkbuster was really the only thing (besides map fixes) that was going to be in the patch...so they just said screw it

Mapholes and minor bugs. I read minor bugs as SP bugs.

I've already heard from at least a semi-reliable source that there was no patch at all, and since IG hasn't said anything believable...

This decision was not made in haste and we are not sitting on a patch. Numerous obstacles and issues halted this patch. We care deeply for our fans and this was a very painful choice to make.

This in no way shape or form affects SWAT4. You have all played the beta and demo. You know what a great game this is going to be.
