I liked tribes 2, I had only been playing t1 for a couple months before it came out, and I thought it was good. save all your shit about how it blew until classic patch, heard it already. They changed engines with tv, and removed features, how can that appeal to an existing base? If madden switched engines, or took away features it would suck also, but instead they build upon what is already there. put this in your pipe and smoke it.

But for the same reason you say T:V sucks , thats why the Veteran Tribes 1 players say Tribes 2 sucks. They switched engines, they took out stuff, they added other stuff. It took some time getting used to Tribes 2 after playing so many hours of Tribes 1.

T2 was a well designed great improvement on Tribes 1 with two major flaws that caused the big rift.

1. the foolish decision to extremely nerf the speed compared to the original.
2. the extensive hardware requirements out of the box. (I had to buy a whole new vid card to play the game when I got it. Would not run on my voodoo 3 graphics card at all)

If those two things weren't major issues on release, it would have flourished far more than TV could have ever hoped.

Horseshit. T2 did not improve on T1 in any way, shape, or form with the exception of graphics and a couple new packs. Conc grenades, missile launchers, and flares are fucking stupid. Shocklance combined with a cloak pack is fucking stupid. The vehicles in T1 were better because they didn't take the center stage. The maps were either too large or they completely sucked. Random bolts of lightning striking people down sucked. It was an abysmal buggy launch with terrible gameplay. If T:V had better netcode and was capable of being modded without too much difficulty, and T2 never existed, it would have been much more successful.

To cure hicups have someone hold a bill of any size (larger the better though) in front of you and tell you you they will give you the money if you can hicup for them. The desire for the money will stimulate the area of your brain that will cancel the hicups.
