Eh, they don't need banned, but it does make sense to make sure they've been stripped of their admin powers if they haven't already.

I don't think they should be banned. I think their titles should be changed to something appropriate. VUG Lapdog is a good starting point but not brutal enough for Twar.

I don't get why everyone cuts IG so much slack.
The game came out with the IG label on it. The buck stops there.
IG gave us map holes, shitty netcode, massive cheat-ability, no OBS, no admin features, shield capping, etc., etc., etc. Nearly everything wrong with it is IGs doing.

I bet IG wishes they never got involved with T:V, but since they did, I blame them for not stepping up to the plate and finishing what they started.

Because in business Producers have the final say in EVERYTHING.. if they want the game killed.. the developers cannot stop them.. all they can do is find a new producer.. but of course this is imposable once the game is already released.. VUG more then likely had IG by the balls.. mentally and economically.. if VUG doesn’t want to fund further in to the development of the game, or take our money and run with it.. IG has their hands completely tied.. Its a sad sick thing I know.. but its business

Fcukhead. havent you noticed, they already left TW because of people like you. I've refrained form posting this but I see no hurt in posting it now. This is a PM from Irritant to me. Way to drive off all the devs months ago. Anything not important to this topic was deleted from the PM. Dont worry about revoking their rights, they've already left.

I love this game and I love mapping for it, but It's hard when at any given time there are no more than 100 players online with 3 servers full during the day and none full @ night. Most of the IGA guys have stopped posting regularly here purely because of the unpleasant atmosphere that pervades TW. Certainly I've stopped posting because all it seemed to do was egg on NoFix, Master Gnr and the like. And I'd had enough of the personal attacks.

I'm now interested in getting involved in the community away from TW. Let me know what I can do for you.

I have no idea why they hung around so long in the first place, TW is not a very happy place. Thrax or something? :shrug:

I don't put the blame on IG as much because I'm sure they were just given deadlines by VUG that they had to do their best to meet. Since VUG pays them they just have to do whatever they are told. It's also not their fault we had bad PR since VUG obviously told them when to talk.

You also can't just say that IG wrote bad code. No programmer writes perfect code the first time. IG was probably just under too much pressure from VUG. IG has proven with other games that they can do a good job.

There would be no reason for IG to spend years developing the game and then just let it die because they want to be assholes. I'm sure they were all emotionally attached to the game and wish they had more time and resources to work on it.

VUG is the fuck-up here. It is VUG who calls the shots. When VUG posted "The Patched is completed" and then "Now the patch is cancelled" within 2 days, they've revealled their true colors and demonstrated to us all who is truely responsibly for screw balling the community.

The Aussies gave us what they could. Maybe it wasn't enough, but they gave an honest shot at creating something for the Tribes community. On the other hand, it is the french who proceeded to fuck us up the ass with it. As it turns it, they've been the ones stringing us along the whole time with their duplicity.

I never attacked IrritAnt you fucking moron. Most of my scorn was saved for that asshat Thrax, and I'm not laying ALL the blame at Irrational's feet, but to put no part of this on them is ridiculous.

And uh, genius, maybe it wouldn't have been so unpleasant an atmosphere had a good, "feature-complete" game been released?
