Problems with new patch and reinstallation of WoW [Archive]

I installed the newest patch today when it was prepatching (after DL) and said "error: cannot load map/world/azeroth_7_9" or something like that - It said the file wasn't there and the patch wouldn't load anymore. I restarted the computer and tried again, and it gave me the same error.

It recommended I reinstall WoW, so I did and on the first CD it gets stuck in loading on "Terrain.MPQ" and stays there. My cd-rom just sticks and won't go anywhere but it works with other CDs.

When I first installed WoW it worked fine, but sometimes my Corsair xms 3200 ram reboots the computer and gives me a blue screen before crashing.

Im not sure if it's the RAM or the CD-Rom because I tried what the blizzard site told me to do, but I e-mailed them.

I'm just wondering if anyone has had this error ?

Wendel 03-23-2005, 09:29 AM I got the same error and had to reinstall. sigh JiVoX 03-23-2005, 03:04 PM Ugh, had to remove a stick of RAM and try again.. it actually worked this time, maybe the patch will work too.
