Zio,
I have spent many days on the lighting - and I have gone back and forth on it. I think it looks better dark and moody - but I fear that I sometimes make it too dark. I also fear that I make things overly dark due to the LCD on my laptop is rather bright. I have the gamma on my laptop set down to 0.70 because things look way too bright without that - but I unfortunately don't have a good reference as to what is too bright for other people's machines. I don't want to make it so dark that someone using a CRT can't see 10 feet in front of them without adjusting the in-game gamma settings.

If you think it is still not dark enough on your system (as I sometimes think it isn't dark enough on mine) - then I will darken it more. If someone betas it and can't see shit - then I will just turn it back up a little :)

Cool, will wait for real impressions during beta. Remember, we are being highly critical of this map since this is the mother of all Tribes maps. Wonder, your attention to detail is unrivaled.

:o

damn, i SO didnt say that!

hehe

edit: my perpetual gripe is going to be "function vs form" so to speak... my school of thought puts function way ahead of form. maps can be plain looking and play l33t and go well, but to my feelings, if it plays like shit, whether it looks good or not, it's a shit map :\ that's about it really. difference in tastes i suppose.

Good Job. Would be better to see a few more screens of the rest of the terrain in between the bases.

Great job as usual Wonderball. Although I dont know if this map will play as well in TV especially without shrike capping. Should be interesting.
