So, I think I gather that there are two demo modes.
One is the server thing, where it records a demo of the server and you can bounce around in observer mode. The other way is the classic old "I sit in my player and watch a recording of everything that went on on my client while I played" mode.
Serverside demos (is that what they're called?) are probably the worst invention ever, in that I could care less about seeing my players hopping around on the landscape. I want to see chat logs, and reticle movement. About the only thing it's useful for, is taking good screenshots of custom skins.
Right now I'm stuck on the server one, and it's really pointless demoing matches that my tribe has, since it doesn't do anything like give me a log of the chat messages, or give proof of (lack of) cheats.
Is there a way to switch between these, like via an ini? Back in OB I was able to take recordings of a client, although it was really buggy.
