You were nothing but a fucking cancer. You were a cancer then, and you're nothing but a cancer now. You have nothing positive to say. You constantly belittle other people's hard work, yet conveniently don't have the time (nor the inclination) to offer help to fix anything. You simply bitch to make yourself feel superior over everyone else. Your fucking ego is so big it can't see what kind of bullshit you spew.

i just wanted to quote this because its very true.

I've been playing WoW lately. It kinda brings back the complexity of T2. I'm kinda worried though. They just anounced that with the next WOW they are going to focus on dueling. They are going to get rid of quests, professions, and skills. They are only going to have one continent that you can get from one end to the other in 2 minutes of walking. They are only going to have one race on the hord and one on the Alliance.

They expect to get many new players to the game with the changes and they are confident that all vets will love the changes because the more boring aspects of the game have been removed.

Tentative title

I will admit that T:V has a long ways to go before it becomes something that some of the tribalwariors will want to play but hasn't this been true for every tribes game? From the very beginning of the creation of a Tribes game; From stories that I've read; Tribes 1 wasn't even played like Tribes games play now until skiing was discovered along with everything else. Tribes2 was slow and vehicle oriented until classic came and now we have T:V. It's the talent and creativity that the Tribes masses has that makes Tribes into a game of it's kind. Developers are only there to form the tools, the Tribaltalent is there to use the tools. Just like a car, a house, a computer needs you to form it's image; T:V also requires the care and workmanship to carve it's image.

What I'm saying is this; T:V needs your talents, needs your vision. T:V needs a new image and a purpose. Ultimately T:V is going to be a lot of work for some of us if it is ever to evolve into a game like Tribes 1 and a game like Tribes 2 but in it's essence, a new evolving game that will be far superior to both of them.

For this reason, we as Tribalwariors need to unite and we need to put all of our energy into building the game and not ripping it apart.

Cannot be said better IMO.

Only thing I will Add (and its been said Before).

If you Love t1 - play t1
If you love t2 (base or classic ) play t2
If you love T:V - Play TV
If you hate any of the 3 - Simply don't play them and DONT waste Your and Others time spouting off about how Horrible they are when its your OPINION.

Play the version you Love. If you don't like/play any of the tribes games then get the fuck out of the TT forum and go back to GD where you belong.

I have no hate for what others Love. I don't even hate the few who act/think like PJ. Worse, I Pity them. Their pathetic displays of Ego and Misplaced time/Intelligence just makes me feel sorry for them... not hate. I don't know ANYONE online well enough to TRULY Hate them. Niether do you unless you ENJOY Hating. If so, GO sit in your garage.. leave the door down , turn the car on.. and do the world a favor.

PJ KIX ASS! anyone who has nething neg to say bout the 'spiritual leader' of Tribes... GO SUCK AN EGG! PJ, despite you not loving how T:V turned out... please dont take any of the PJ bashing posts to heart. We need you man. You and your many World Famous scripts/huds/etc had a HUGE positive impact on Tribes2 for literally thousands of players. If and when the Renegades mod comes out, I hope you might consider getting back into the mix. I love seeing you playing. I feel a little like the Karate Kid fighting along side Mr. Miyagi.

BTW, my sig is sorta real. I am going hangliding over a volcano next weekend ;)

Perhaps you would like to offer us some Jim Jones Kool-Aid in celebration of your Messiah. Now I know exactly what the word "fanatic" was invented for. You could simply agree with PJ without sucking his ass, or licking his boots.

For Gods sake son, grow a nut and have your own original thoughts.

BEAVIS! :ugh: yer such a fudgebucket. its not just that i 'agree' with PJ. to be dead honest... i actually disagree with some of the items in his posts. i actually like t:v. missing ALOT of depth, but i do like it, and play it everyday. i am just stating the fact that we should all be supremely grateful for people like PJ :king: , given their years of dedication and support to the tribes community, all without being paid a penny for their hard work.

all this stupid fighting :fight: amongst the leaders of volunteer organizations whose sole purpose is to make a better game for us all, is completely ridiculous. i would hope much of the rhetoric spewed about PJ :king: causing problems in the group is just bs. i personally believe the VAST majority of these arguments and bitching is just based on frustration. frustration that t:v has not achieved its potential.

rather than betchin and cryin :baby: , we should be grateful by the fact we DID get a THIRD release of OUR game! :jester: given the marketing failure of t2, despite it being an excellent game, dedicated devs took the risk to bring us yet another tribes. i am really hopin renegades mod comes out, which will bring some depth to the game, and turn t:v into t3. :worried: but if it does not come, i will still play the game. least till ss comes out, when i might switch to that.

tribes started out as being the first to break from the trend of boring fps packed with a bunch of guys runnin round blastin each other, :-| with no sence of imagination or teamwork. PJ :king: was instrumental in the development of hundreds of various scripts, huds, irc plugins, etc that turned an awsome game into a community sport  ... he has always been heavily involved in the tribes community. i cant friggin believe some of you hairyballsacks are ripin on him for not taking a lead role in some group. his support of the tribes community these past few years MUST not be overlooked by anyone involved in the game. he has, and will always be remembered as a true leader and major contributor of the tribes community. :chill: BOW DOWN!

Does anyone remember the thread asking why PJ was invited to the conference and if he should have been invited? My question to the devs is why? Why didn't you listen to us? Why did you invite him in the first place? WHY???

holy crap. you guys are relentless! give it a freakin rest already. i ask you this cneal... how many hours have you dedicated to the tribes community over the past 7 years? multiply that by 50X and you MIGHT approach the amount of work PJ has contributed. the only person as well known amongst the tribes community besides PJ IS Thrax.

Everyone knows other names like Manowar, BitRaiser, Aesop, etc... but PJ, in my opinion, is in a class of his own. Tho he's not an actual dev, he has contributed to the tribes community just as much if not more than people like Thrax. I have seen the source code for many of his more advanced scripts. He is a true community developer. He needs to be treated as such. Try giving him a little respect will ya?

Ow.

Thrax has almost no respect in these parts these days.
Ya definatly need to know something about what you are talking about before you shoot your mouth off.

Yes, PJ has dedicated 50X more effort in badmouthing a video game than improving it or helping in any way. I could not care less what PJ did in T2, he ruined his rep on this and other forums. Benedict Arnold was also a respected General in the Revolutionary army, does he also deserve our respect for his past accomplishments?

Bow Down? You are out of your mind.
