2 small bugs I found:
- The emergency station at Phoenix base2 (on the bridge) is for the wrong team
- The spawn towers are destroyable (you can still spawn there though)

Getting easier though, I like what can be done with this editor...even in its gimped state.

Thanks for finding the emergency station Fusillade1, I'll get that fixed. The spawns were on purpose. You only lose the ability to teleport between them when they're down.

My only complaints are that the water should be deeper off the shore. Because of the whole swimming thing, I think it would be neat to have it 50 feet deep or so. The terrain is also a little jagged in places.
And I don't know how hard it would be to switch the alignment of one side of the map, so that the flag stands are on complete opposite sides of the island. It would be a good thing to do though. I think someone pointed this out in the other thread.
Otherwise, it's really nice.

I will do this with the water. :) Yeah, I was thinking it has a T2 feel as well while making it. Doesn't look like it would, but when you're in it it's there.

Thanks, it just doesnt add that much distance if I simply reverse one side of the map. But, if that side is both reversed and shifted down a bit, that adds distance (it's a cool concept for island maps too imo). At this stage, I don't think it will happen since it would be easier to make a new map (I am currently experimenting with this idea for another island map).
mc-fine 02-28-2005, 04:33 PM Nice stuff boom. Dunno if its just the fog but map doesn't run too hot. Theres 500k-800k of terrain being drawn all the time. As ppl have said before the flag placement will cause half the map to never get touched. But I guess you are already working on another. I like the way the skybox works. Nice tropical about to storm feel to it.

I did fix the flag cap error on that map, but it will not be released unless some type of carving is added to the game. I thought it would work, but it just doesn't work well as is, imo so I pulled it.
One of these days I might get all the elements right on a map, but for now it's been a learning experience. Alot of the things I try to do cause problems, some are limitations with this engine and many are ignorance on my part. But hey, that's part of the fun...

I think you should crap it and turn it into the new one you started working on with the inverted bases. Keeping the same theme, style and all that good stuff.
