Tribes in Five Years

I wonder how I would have responded to this same question 5-6 years ago...

i would love to say i would be playing one of the next 2 tribes games in 5 years, but i'm quite sure there wont be another tribes game produced by any major label producer, and if another one is made, it will probably be more like ut, or any of 1000 fps games out there already, or just craptacular enough to not warrant buying it. its far more likely that in 5 years, i will still be playing t1, so long as theres a base server and players in the game, i will be playing, although it sucks that itll never be like it was, the only thing you can do is keep playing, or stop alltogether, since i still love the game, i will still play it

but being a little more realistic, i(with the rest of the community) will probably stop playing tribes and work on other things and maybe one day join a team to remake a tribes game

we'll be playing tribes:retribution, a sequel to tribalwar directed by vug

everything tribes is, less jetpacks, spinfusors, chainguns and skiing.. one armour class, two weapons with three maps a quarter the size of spiridian able to host upto 6 players at once!

on a more serious note, ss isn't tribes, but if someone manages to create a nice tribes-esque game ontop of the upcoming ss game, then surely it will last another 5 years, which, will most likely be out next year or the year after leaving only 3 to 4 years of play which isn't really that long at all

id have to say still playing tribes 1 :D unless they make t1 so ppl play it again
