People are getting spam/scams in their email now. Instead of trying to sell viagra or porno, people send crappy items, such as fishing poles, gift wrapped with like a 5g COD attached to it.

But those people don't last long. When you send mail trying to scam 30 people, you're bound to get reported by one.

Considering that people are stupid enough to use casinos, you could probably make a shitload of money if you were the first to start the chainmail scheme.

can you forward mail with the WoW mailing system? It seems like it wouldn't be very easy to pull off a pyramid scheme if everyone had to retype the names of previous senders. Lazyness would hinder it a great deal.

Speaking of casinos, some guy one 20g today and the casino guy was like "umm, patience patience, your money is coming". I hope he got ripped off.

Actually a month ago someone in the WoW forums was complaining how his guildmate was a farmer. He said they have some script/macro/addon that automatically responds to in-game mail. He tested it by sending the guy a piece of junk (non gift-wrapped, he knew what it was) and put a 100g COD on it. Sure enough within minutes it was accepted and he got 100g.

Suffice to say, the rest of us were trying to shake him down for the guy's name so we could mail him crap and get an easy mount. But that didn't work out too well.
