i know, i actually compared prices rather then going by brand name, and alienware still had more features that i want: for example, the sager notebook for 2800 didnt have the same specs as the alienware that i paid 2900 for. (specifically, i got a UXGA screen in the alienware [ 1680x1024 native ] with the webcam and all that shit ) and i got 200 off alienware + free shipping, so it was actually quite a good deal, add on a 3 year warranty and i felt i made the right decision (sager is basically the same thing i am aware, the alienware had the cosmetics i wanted, with all the features i wanted, for a better price)

So now im ending up with a 3.6 p4 1.5 gb of ram a 6800 go the 17" uxga/webcam, 7.1 surround, 7 in 1 media, etc etc, for roughly the same price it would have cost me at sager for a 3.0 p4 17" just XGA (1400x1050 max)... etc etc...

i do understand your point though, and i had already taken it, and the inspirion/fragbook/sager/etc etc into consideration, it just so happened that with the discounts/offers, alienware was the best for the money

if your not going to play with friends i would play a shaman they are ownage. solo great and get group invites sometimes for being a healer.

also if your not going to play with friends and want to make friends play a priest. they solo fine later on in the game and you will always have ppl asking to group with you. and later on in the game = all instances.

i have a lvl 53 mage ( its alright solo is ok but lots of downtime)
lvl 30 pally (no down time and kinda fun but no dmg output everything takes 15hours to die)
lvl 27 rogue(pretty much fun so much dmg output its crazy but no groups)
lvl 17 hunter(no down time at all but no heals if you get added on your pretty much dead.)
lvl 13 shaman( pretty much fun you kill stuff pretty fast due to shocks and get group invites quite a bit)
lvl 12 warlock ( its alright but kinda boring stuff takes long to die but youd o have lasting ability)

its gonna be a tough choice, i think anything will be fun, thankfully i have a bunch of friends im playing with, so rogue or hunter i think would be my first inclination, cause those classes are always fun to play in any game imo, mage/warlock seem they could be also fun, exspecially that doomguard
