Ok, I can understand shamans wearing certain peices of thea rmor for the stam/int bonuses, but this retard was going for the whole thing.

Just as irritating as mages/warlocks rolling on the others item set, even when that class is in the party.

Wearing other sets is fine (all casters love the warlock set) and shaman for the most part dig the hunter set, but you should never roll if the intended class is in the group and needs the item.

Stats aside, Shaman and Pallies often go after the hunter and warrior sets because blizz made their sets half as common as the others which is an annoyance as they are highly played classes.

if there is no hunters in the group might as well roll on it

I'm not talking about if the intended ISN'T in the group, I'm saying rolling on it while the they are. If there's no hunter, fine let the shammy wear if he wants, if there's no warlock, let the priest have. But it pisses off alot of people, even the ones who can't use it, when people do that shit.

well people are surprisingly stupid/selfish about loot in this game. Single pieces of loot tend to be very small overall upgrades to your character. At this point even if I upgrade my worst armor piece with the best available drop to replace it, it will be a difference of around 50 hp/mana and maybe .2% damage mitigation from the AC. Sure that is nice and it all adds up but by itself it is fairly trivial. Weapons are a different story as they can have a pretty significant impact on overall character performance but the clothing gear really does not.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought those special class sets could only be worn by their respective classes.

Or can shamans actually wear the Beastmaster gear?

Does anyone have a link to what the full set of beaststalker gear looks like when worn?

I have a 56 troll hunter and if a shaman rolled and won some beaststalker I'd probably just hearth out. Problem is I'm a hunter, so no one would really care.

Being unguilded I have a hard time getting instance groups as a 60 hunter anyway. Of course I now have a 21 Priest and I get a few whispers an hour asking me to join instance groups.

there are epic sets that are restricted to the class

like http://www.thottbot.com/?i=25816 for warlocks

the sets from spire/scholo/strath are only restricted to armor type. If you can wear the type you can wear the set. The set bonuses however will only help the class they were intended for, but for the mostpart the set bonuses (even for a complete set) are pretty lame.

make yourself known when it comes raid time

Hunters are probably the best raid class. theyre going to rape Battlegrounds too.

im am totally uninspired by the bgs from the previews. I thought it woule be a multiple copy instance not that there would be only one... I want to fight alongside my guildmates only and be able to setup 'matches' against alliance guilds. I dont want to fight along side all the worthless scrubs with trash gear and no skills that are on my side, how completely stupid...

did it say there would just be 1? im hoping there will be multiple too. it said there wouldnt be 100v100 battles, so its smaller and with that, u KNOW theres gonna be hundreds of ppl wanting to play that shit at any given time, so i was assuming thered be multiple instances :/

arg, and with shitty lag problems. i hope they come through.

the sets may be designed for ertain classes, but they can be worn by other classes too.

that said, if a shaman wants to roll on beastslayer, it's his fucking right to do so whether there's a hunter in the group or not as long as the shaman intends on wearing the armor piece over the elements counterpart.

That said, if a cloth class rolls on it, they should be hung from a tree

we already had a massive flipout discussion in guildchat/groupingchat

if there is a hunter in the group and a hunter piece drops the shaman has no right to roll on it when someone who the piece was designed for (and bonuses are made to benefit) is present and needs the eq

thats bullshit. we had a priest that left a group b/c he wanted to roll on warlock eq with a warlock in the group. its fucking stupid.

to hell with the beaststalker set, you want the giantkiller set at 60, its the ultimate Hunter set. Of course I've never seen anyone with the pieces and the drop sites aren't even listed, but it is an awesome set.

If it's what you are collecting, then roll on it. Fuck what anyone else thinks.

At least Alliance doesn't have this problem... except for the moron druids who roll on caster stuff. Or the retard pallys collecting Valor.
